CAN WE BLAME OUR PROBLEMS ON THE MISSING PLAYERS

i think if we had brown or gas we would have canned em or if richo was on long enough to kick a bag

Of course having Gas, Richo and Brown would have helped our cause no doubt but our biggest worry yesterday was our midfield without a doubt. Got completely smashed. As another poster said, only Deledio looks to be the 'complete' midfielder; ie: pace, skill, vision, disposal, etc... while the rest of our midfield is very deficient is areas, with maybe only 1 of these attributes.

GO TIGES!!!

Don't think so. As Mikee said, our midfield was pathetic & our use of the footy, coupled with our decision making would not have let us win the game. We just refused to work hard. we had almost 3 times as many errors as this mob. Admittedly, everything worked on the day for them & nothing worked for us, but really, there is no way we should have lost to that rabble. 35 points, yet it was a game where it felt like we were belted by 12-14 goals.

I'm not sure if we had the injured players in the side we would have won. We were beaten badly in the mid field. And injuries are part of the game, you need to over come them.

But, I'm not sure words like " blame " and " problems " is necessary. We will miss the finals and lost to the bottom side yesterday, and of course we are all dissapointed at the moment.

But, we won 4 game last year and this year we will win 10 or 11. We have heaps of exciting kids on the list and will add more to that next year.

So we are on an upwards climb. Every step back we took like yesterday, we will continue to take 2 steps forward. It will at times be a rocky ride, but we are on the up.

We didnt lose cos of the guys that didnt play on Sunday, we lost because of the guys that did take the field on Sunday, the RFC lineup has more holes than an Australian Navy Submarine at the moment. :hihi

yeah, we have a lot of injuries, but still, we shoulda won with what we had. Simmonds missed that set shot from about 20m :-X but then made up for it with three others.

our midfeild wasnt good enough. Maybe being the second best team for stoppages for awhile got to their heads or somethin and they relaxed too much ??? maybe its just cos they were facing the bottom team and everybody expected us to whoop em' and they took it too easy

We kicked 16 goals, that's what TW wanted at the beginning of the year, so it wasn't our forward line that let us down it was our backline. When you take out the Gas and Kellaway (both probably in All Australian form) it does leave a big hole. Liked the looks of Kelvin Moore, good hands, will take over from Richo when that time comes.

Exaclty. thanks Craig. No good blaming the players that weren't there. The ones that were failed to step up to the plate. Simple.

Exactly, boys trying to do a mans job, thats why TW has been easing them into it all year, he knows what he is doing. If he had run the selection policy advocated by many on this site we would be elegible for early draft picks again and those same would be calling for him to be sacked.

Well lets see.

We lost our best two forwards Richo and Brown

and our bets two defenders Gas and K2

and our bets tagger Chaffey.

Chaffey would have kept Stevens to less than 4 goals probably 1-2 say 2

K2 would have kept Waite to 2 2 goals instead of 4,

Gas would have kept Fev to 2 instead of 4

Richo would have kicked 3

Brownie 2

so by my calculations we would have kicked 5 more goals, they would have kicked 6 less goals, so instead of losing by 5 goals we would have won by 6!!!

In all seriousness depth is they key. Bling and Lids covered brown well be got 4 goals from them Moore and Staff covered Richo 5 goals from them. What we can't cover at the moment are our key backman, Shultz should have played last week, IMHO his time at tigerland is severly limited!

a bit rough blaming the backline when our mids just allowed the footy to come out of the middle that easy.

At the start of the year we had a full list to choose from, everyone was fit and up and running.  We played with confidence which seems to have disappeared from our game.    Our injuries have defintely hurt us the last couple of weeks, I believe this game is played above the shoulders, so its what's going on inside the heads of the group on the park that is the problem, even with all the players in the team, if the player's mindset is not right and switched on, then there's nothing any amount of coaching, training or preparation can do to help us win.
