2005 - 4 delistings, 2 retirees
2006 - 5 delistings, 2 retirees

Quite conservative list turnover for a rebuilding club.

Certainly conservative the past two years.
Might have been easier if other teams were interested in the Halls, Tivendales & Krakouers of the world.
Of course they weren't.

wheather you can trade them or not you are better of axeing the duds and trying a kid.

geez i knew mick put the axe thru a few at collingwood. 30 in 2 yrs sure is getting rid of the deadwood. wallace theres a lesson there.
also mick traded 5 players at that time one was clinton king we all know where he ended up. michael. rocca. olarenshaw. and williams. were others trust us to take one of the two duds.

Yea...must agree.

Wallace cant pull the wool over anyones eyes, he expected us to make the eight after finishing 9th.

In a 5 year plan, you dont hit rock bottom 60% of the way through, 9th would have been good again.

Then they ask for the no.1 pick.....quick quiz, who was the last no.1 draft pick to play in a premiership?

I think Wallace knew bloody well we had little hope of making the 8 this year, especially after losing Cogs, Simmo and Brown in the preseason.

Hence the Media release about 2009 or 2011 as some want to believe.

That's a fair point gus but there's no way he expected to pick up a spoon and 1 win for the season either.
