Can we make the 8 ?

Still didn't answer the question. You said the only reason we beat North was because they didn't kick straight. As it was pointed out, each team kicked 16 points a piece. Your comment was manifestly wrong. I guess some people will critisize the Tigers over anything, regardless if there's truth in it or not. You can only beat the teams your playing. Why don't you support someone else?

Fair enough, but if you think that win is going to make Richmond a better team, you're dreaming. Richmond's playing list with the exception of around half a dozen or so players and maybe another half dozen who make an effort is at best ordinary.

We will not make the 8, the team played pathetic football against Carlton, did okay and might have won against Geelong, didn't play that well against the Doggies, and against Melbourne the less said the better. As for Nth Melbourne, they lost the game because they played at our level, the game itself was ugly, full of errors, poor decision making and disposal skills on display. We just happened to kick a few more goals that made the win possible, but the players themselves have to lift their games to much higher standards if they are win consistently.

I'll continue to criticise Richmond and its efforts onfield if they deserve it. As I said they won and it was an ugly win but its 4 points and I'd take it, after all who wants to be on the bottom of the ladder, not I that is for sure, however I can't say the same for Richmond.

Geez one win over a crap opposition and the ferals are talking finals again.

I think CC started this thread to get some sort of excitement going.... ;D

If we want to make the finals, we need to beat top 8 teams. We cant do that because we get scared on the big stage. But im sure some time in the next few games that we win, some clown will put "WE COMMAND RESPECT" on the banner only for us to get clobbered against a team who will finish 7th. Realisticly we are an average team with ability to put in a good "HONOURABLE LOSS" or we also have the ability to lose"UNLOSEABLE" match. It hasnt changed for 25 years that i know of.. why change now?

i wanna pay credit to joel bowden. He has been in career best form and a leader down back. Sure he has his faults but he is loyal tiger who is very talented player and good on him for continuing to bounce back. Anyone agree ?

Can't argue with that gspot. Joel's been in excellent form, pity he hasn't had to many teammates helping out.

Shoot me down in flames everyone.

Sportsbet offering $201.00 for Richmond to make the top 4.

$20.00 on the nose for a $4000.00 return..........Get on!! :crazy

I don't know where else to post this....please direct me to the appropriate topic if it already exists or move this as appropriate.

EVEN if we have a wretched season (and the signs aren't good) and finish LAST, guess what? Another team is in line to record successive seasons of very low # of wins. Yep, history will repeat itself.

Can bet my Dear CLaws that the Demons are.

Watts, Scully and Butcher all could be in Melbourne guernseys next year.

Less than 4 wins and last gets the Demons both these kids.

Add these 3 to many of their other promising youngsters and the future will turn well for the Demons.

tep dumb jounos can see it poxy melbourne can see it carlton saw it but the rfc and its blind as bats feral supporters stick their heads up their arses and pretend everything smells like roses.
ive said this before but i have to say it again the blind fools actually deserve all the angst that comes their way.

there truly is only one way for the club to achieve a premiership but it seems none wants to know about it they havent since 1986 the inception of the draft.

Oh *smile* claw, you complain about me willfully misinterpreting you yet you do exactly the same thing. I and others have agreed we should have done exactly what Hawthorn did but it should have been done in that same period as Hawthorn, 2004 draft to say the 2006 draft. Once we failed to do that there were other considerations such as the health of the club that meant we couldn't do it after that. And now because of GC and WS there is very little benefit in doing it over the next couple of years. Development is also important and arguably more important in the next few years given WS and GC, we should be concentrating on development and perhaps aim to get a coach that introduces more discipline and competitiveness into the side to carry us through the next couple of years.

As for Melbourne I've got a bridge to sell you if you think they planned this like Hawthorn did. They fell into a hole and luckily have done it at just the right time to benefit from it just before WS and GC.

Yeah because Adelaide make the finals year after year through high draft picks and Geelong won a premiership on the back of finishing last for a few years. 1 team has won a premiership on the back of finishing last, only 1, and that was arguably more due to Clarkson.

Think you are spot on with this point.
