PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Lads, today hasn’t been much of an improvement if you know what I mean. I persuaded my old mate Mick who runs an Old Cars Removed business to drive all the way to Warragul, winch up the Jim Jess Express (my VN Commodore), and take us all back to Moe. The cops had been threatening to tow it down to the tip as a health hazard. Mick also is a keen barracker of the Tigers, and on the way back to Moe we had a bit of a chin wag about Kane Johnstone. I always reckon that your captain should be your best player. At the moment I reckon Kane would get a run with the Bomber Mob and thats about it. Perhaps North would give us a first round draft pick for him. Mick agreed. I am not saying get rid of Kane or anything as he can clearly sort of play. But we need a real leader to lead the team if you know what I mean. I like the look of young Rainsey. Deledio always leads by example. Kellaway always has more steel in what he does than what you will probably find in some of the side panels of the Jim Jess Express (it didn’t look so brown when I first bought it). What do you reckon lads. Do we need to look to the future now? Would a new and better captain pull us better results than the zig zag stuff we are copping at the moment?
