Believe me, the AFL would not be spending a million odd dollars so it can rot away.

If they were, they could of distributed the money amongst the Vic. AFL clubs.

An Vic. AFL club will be packing their bags, this is a long term plan.
 
not sure what the attraction is of the gold coast. i spent the week up there prior to the brisbane game and found the place to be tacky and boring.

Agree with you Ian, the Gold Coast is a great place to come home from :hihi

Agree with you too GPB, and Southport will gladly head in that direction whether it is with a particular AFL club I have no mail, but I do know there have been more than discussions on Southport's future given it's absolute financial and playing dominance.

Bigger population than Hobart, Canberra and Darwin and GROWING! Outside of Sydney, it is the next logical expansion point............
