I just had a real nasty thought.......

What if we were to sack Wallace now, and install Royal or Campbell as the next head coach (interim) until the seasons end.
I'm sure the players would react, and we'd win a few, and maybe even make the new coach look good.

Then, we're put into an awkward position to sign him, because he turned the season around, and VOILA!!!!

We have Geischen Mark II.

Yes General your scenario is a possibility, what I've seen and heard over the last 30 years, nothing will surprise me.
 
Its almost a certainty. But we will botch it even more and put Sheedy in charge.
 
Campbell was highly rated at the Bulldogs. Just because you didn't like him as a player doesn't mean he can't coach.

Though obviously there are other preferable options.
