Just watched his highlight clip, and I know its only a highlight clip, but well, geez. At Pick 60 he looks like a freebie. All the recruits look like goers with ability from their clips, as they always do, but hell.

Moves superbly, like mercury, kicks either low trajectory or floats it with either foot depending on what will advantage his teamate, leap, well, a lot has been said, but by jingo, he goes in for 3 or 4 ruck duels against a bloke who looks like a genuine ruck, he might have cement boots on I don't know, but still, Normie flogs him, and not only gets the tap but either gets it to a teamates advantage or punches it a long way. He's 6 foot forchist sake!

I'm excited by this fella. The thought of CP, JON and RT all coming on and playing for us is very seductive indeed.

Im predicting at least 6 mark of the days awards in the VFL for young Carl. And thats in his 1st game :hihi :hihi :hihi

Highlights clips are exactly what they are called.....

I've met Carl, a very nice boy.
I'm sure he will've already been told that it will take him years of hard work to get to where he needs to be.

Boohoo Phantom. January is the month for dreaming. Let us dream..........

The way Tigersnake describes it is how it should be until we actually see him play.

Hit us with reality in March maybe April. I pay too much for my membership to have the dream squashed so early. ;)

He obviously really needs to muscle up before playing seniors, and that probably won't be this year.

However, Carl will be one of many reasons to make it to Coburg to watch the Tigers 2nds play. I enjoyed many of the games at Coburg in 06, but 07 should be fantastic. ;D

Good post TS. Although I reckon Digger is an equally fitting nickname.
The excitement machine will provide many highlights for us in the next few years.
I took a few shots of him at training if anyone wants me to send them a few pics of Carl on the track, send me your email address in a pm.

Spot on Shers and agree wholeheartedly.

Peterson, Connors, Hughes, Riewoldt, a returning Thursfield, Casserly, Jon and Edwards, now theres some reasons to get to some Coburg games this year. :)

I know i'll be frequenting many of them when possible.

These kids are exciting.
