But would you not assume that Freo had given Collard many a warning before delisting him ie giving him a "second" chance? I doubt they just delisted him on the spur of the moment.
 
is it certain that peterson was delisted for behavioural reasons?

initial reports had it that we were hoping to rookie him due to long term injuries and he'd be unlikely to play next yr anyway

either way i'm still surprised no other club took him in the draft, esp considering the likes of johnson, bradley, dew etc. were

This IS Freo we are talking about. Look how good they did helping out Farmer.

collard had some family issues back home, he really needed to get away from his family, they sound like nutcases
 
do we have any consenus yet about who we should take in the psd and the rookie drafts?
 
peterson was 100% behaviour, the players thought he was a freak on the feild, but awaay from it was a loose cannon and lazy etc

and COLLARD is def in the mix ;D

Very true. They obviously think that getting the chop from the Dockers might wake him up. I have my doubts, and I don't like our track record of managing McGrath and Peterson.

I had a decent chat to Francis Jackson about Peterson and believe me, we gave him many chances. There are reasons why he went off the rails and while FJ reiterated he had the talent to make it, the other issues took away his required focus. A real shame as the kid is very very talented.
 
Thought some may be interested to know that Carl is now playing for St.Mary's here in Darwin. I was fortunate enough to be out in Palmerston today and saw him take one of those "screamers" I'd heard so much about before his untimely demise at Tigerland. He'll play finals over the next few weeks and may even find himself in a premiership side. Unless my mighty Tahs can do something about it!
