A month is a long time in football:

Firstly, Carlton are doing the right thing by forcing Curnow to stay. Dual Coleman medal winners don’t grow on trees.
Yes, they need to rejuvenate their list. But at 28, he has plenty of years left in him.
And besides, I would rather he stay at Carlton and achieve nothing, than go to the Swans or Geelong and help them achieve success.
I hate both of those 2 teams as much as Carlton (maybe more), so the best result for Richmond supporters who despise Carlton, Geelong and Sydney is for Curnow to stay at Carlton.

28 with bad knees and three A grade seasons. He’s a better Jack Stringer with better PR.
Perfect time to move him on. Won’t have real value after another year.
Looks fit, looks strong, can’t run. Lost explosiveness.
Doesn’t show up when it matters. Hugely overrated.
