can someone explain to me why Carlton are giving away picks 9 and 11?

They are getting more points, they can't use those picks being as Dean will be bid on ahead of that. They could keep them and match, but they'll generate a better outcome by trading the picks back.

Wankerly speaking to Graham Wright on SEN stating that Cartoon are at the same level we were in 2015-16 on the fringe of breaking out to become a great side.....:ROFLMAO: (no love lost from Wanker with Cartoon - he's obsessed for some strange reason)

Some listeners texting back saying Cartoon will never do a Richmond, but Wankers insists!!

Lol cute.

Their best KPF and ruck just walked out.

Cripps is half broken from carrying that failure of a club.

Yeah...I don't see it happening. If they had a window at all I think they've missed it!

Yeh, losing Dekonning, Curnow and Silvagni and getting Hayward, Florent and Ainsworth does not make Carlton a better team.

Even better.

It smells of panic recruitment to me. Same as Saints, who seems to genuinely think that someone like Silvagni will make them a better side etc.

To be fair, De Koning may be a great pickup given the new rules.

8 year contract hey? What could possibly go wrong…

“CARLTON has signed Sam Walsh to a monster eight-year contract in the biggest deal in the club's history.”

Seems like some strange George Constanza list management to me.

“We don’t want you that much that we’re going to cut you with a year to run on your contract.”

“What? That? You thought we were serious? Come on! Get back here you little rascal!”

“Elijah Hollands has won his way back on to Carlton’s list alongside former GWS swingman Wade Derksen.

Hollands, 23, was cut with one year left on a contract last year, after the Blues urged him to seek a new home through the trade period, after a year marked by personal issues including a battle with alcohol.

He was offered a chance to win his way back by training with the Blues over summer and his dedication shone through to be signed under the supplemental selection period.

A former No.7 draft pick to Gold Coast, Hollands played 27 games for the Blues as a high half-forward before he was axed last year.

List manager Nick Austin said Hollands had earned his second chance at Ikon Park.

“Elijah has attacked this pre-season with a real purpose and professionalism and today’s announcement is a true testament to the commitment he has made,” Austin said.”

Wish them both all the best. Hope Walsh continues to stay healthy and plays well.

Hope Hollands stays...out of trouble? And makes the most of his opportunities.

Yep that's an astounding risk given his significant injury history.

Has anyone seen BB around these parts?
Would like his take on their chances and on Curnow and the new rivalry with Swans given Florent and Hayward went the other way.
