Excactly! Doesnt that mean he has played two good games in a row...

Fair dinkum guys GIVE HIM A BREAK!

Hird or Johnson this week

A big call that is

To play the Chaff on the Hird

I think maybe not

:spin

Agree. In fact, Chaffey on Hird means Hird alone and if that happens, then Chaffey must leave. Do you think not maybe ?

Yeah DMX, the both had losers' limp.  ;D

Ok dyerere, I will ask you this hypothetical. Say we make finals and we are playing the Crows. Now that Chaff did the job on Goodwin, so we know he can do it huh? Correct? You are confident? , or for that matter we play the the Swans, either way, are you going to arrive at the game, safe in the knowledge that we have "the" player that is going to shut down a key mover for the opposition?  8)

You raise a good test, dmx. I'm pretty confident that TW will find a good matchup for him when next we meet those two sides. I'm not certain it will be the same matchup. Surprise is a pretty important factor in a tag.

I didn't think Chaffey would do as well as he has. Chaffey has won his last two battles with primo midfielders in form, the more recent against a quicker one. He has a few other scalps and a couple of hidings.

What I like about Chaff is that he's got a mighty pair of Sherrins on him. If you can't play talented players all over the park, it makes sense to play some with genuine heart and toughness.

He doesn't look like a Premiership class defensive mid to me and he does not contest the centre bounces because of his lack of inside ball winning ability but he keeps improving, he never shirks and there is no ready replacement.

He keeps improving. It's hard to gauge his limitations while he does. Who's to say he won't keep going? Let's give him Jason Johnson this week and see if he can make it three on the trot.

Nick DalSanto the following week might be a different story. ;D

He is in their to tag the best midfielder every week and is doing a good job of it..

We need a player like him doing the job he does.

Does that "Ouch" stand for something that hit you on the head ? Is that why you are so confused about how you feel about Chaffey ? As per below:

We should offer Joel Bowden, Mark Chaffey and Greg Tivendale as trade bait to other clubs next year.
