wow mark graham did a good job on brown last year, where is he now?
trent knobel is a dud
jeremy humm is a joke
you bag kevin sheedy for picking up rejects cupido, alvey, zantuck, camporeale fair enough but what about mcphee and lovett-murray
sometimes they work and sometimes they dont, just find the whole joke a bit sad and not funny
Evanstone,
Sorry mate, but you've lost the plot ont his one...
I will bag Sheedy for his "youth policy", when he continues to play overrated thugs such as Solomon (thank God he never ended up at Richmond! :clap), the two Johnsons, Camporeale....and now all the talk about Aker (he can have him!)
Sheedy himself is one of the most overated coaches in the history of AFL....4 flags in 25 years....give Wallace a 26 year contract, and I bet he could beat Sheedy's record!
Mark Graham got a 1-year contract, and was quite good in his 1 year at Richmond.
He was brought in to help Gas out (as he had just got over a knee-op)....and players like Thursfield, *smile*, Moore, etc hadn't come along yet body-wise, or experience-wise.
Mark Graham was that stop-gap...and he played his role to perfection.
Trent Knobel is someone we have missed a bit this year, as its put a lot more of a workload on Simmo.
Imagine if we had a fit Knobel to come in and relieve Simmo so he could rest down forward...just like the Eagles do with Cox/Seaby....or Melbourne with White/Jamar.
A positive to come out of it is that Simmo with the extra workload has flourished...ad Patto is getting better game by game, playing a bit more in the ruck the last few weeks.
Still doesn't mean Knobel won't be an asset next year for us, especially with Staff, more than likely, retiring/delisted.
And Humm.....really as a backup if players like Howat, Polo, Raines hadn't come along as quickly and as impressively as we have seen. Least Hum had had some experience previously.
I hope this answers your post sufficiently.
