Changes against the Bulldogs

Let me help you with your phrasing.
The best key forward in Australia with clamp like hands, stand on heads leap, laser guided kicking and Albert Einstein footy smarts and his more than handy super athletic super tall super mouthy understudy, plus some other bloke, COULD absolutely take the Dogs inexperienced, undersized , out of form defence all the way to the cleaners and back again.

Until I read that I was thinking Jack could quite possibly kick 10 this week. Now I'm think 12 ;)

Jack should be about right this week - 3 weeks since concussion (not bad in the meantime). Inexperienced defence, or unfit, or out of form, all adds up to a show and half under the confines of a roof or glistening Autumn sun. Wish I was there for this one.

No change!

And cameos from Nahas White and King.

With delivery from Cotchin Grigg Houli jackson Conca Martin Deledio Newman Edwards and Foley

SPINE TINGLES. The mortgage isn't due for a month and I just got my fortnightly pay.

I'm plonking it on the Tigers right now.

:hihi I like to take the conservative approach.

Fairly good news re injuries.

White should be OK. Tuck recovering well - pushing to be available this week. Moore - being cautious with him - looking to resume full training in a couple of weeks. Dea and Oreilly with some foot stress injuries - caught early. Looking to resume full training in a couple of weeks.

Check the medical room on RFC website for brief video overview of above.

No news re Connors and Thursfield so I assume they might be available.

There really is no need to do much in terms of changes. Nason needs to play a full game whether at Seniors or Coburg so will be interesting the tactic for the the sub if White doesn't come up. I am a big advocate for speed and I have plenty of time for Nason but this is a game I wouldn't mind seeing an extra tallish type over a runner.

I think this will be the game that Jack explodes. Markovic has shown some good signs (finally!) as a key back and has allowed them to take a stance on Lake but under the roof at Etihad I expect this to be a super open fast game and I think this match up is ideal for him. Hopefully, the doggies struggle to consistently get a 3rd man up to help Markovic out and I really wonder who is their "Plan B" if it all goes sour. Tom Williams will break even with Miller but would be embarrassed on Jack.

I think this will be a cracking game and the I'd be surprised if the Doggies don't put through 16+ goals mainly from their mids and flankers (and our inexperienced errors) but the question will be can we put through 20?

Don't underestimate the Doggies... most of their mids are now fit after a slow start to the pre-season and we won't be able to slow the game down and shut their run down like the Swannies did. If Whitey is injured then that is a huge break for "Gia" I reckon who I am really worried about in this game. Batchelor may get a massive job there instead. Newman to Higgins if he comes back. But with Griffen, Cooney (getting fitter), Gia, Ward and Hill they have plenty of speed like us on the outside but theirs is more mature than ours so a massive task for our mosquito fleet.
High octane offensive game coming up. Should be an awesome spectacle. If we are within 20 points of them I think it is a massive tick in the box for development. If we win..... well, the whole situation will just get out of hand and the band wagons will be rolling up to the 'G' for the Dreamtime game.

Agree with all this.

But with no Hall, Higgins nad no Tom Williams we should be looking to win this.

Have to stop Ryan Griffen, Gia and keep a watch on Cooney who I think will play deep in the forward line.

I have many bad memories of being pantsed by the Bullies at Etihad. Their usage is fantastic when they are playing well - and they look every bit as quick as us.

Not sure where the game will be won. I do hope it isn't a blow out (ie 9 goals+) if they win. However, perhaps our young team is due for a let down...

Not sure thats the case. Dogs are one of the slowest teams going around.

If we can match Cross & Boyd in the middle we may well have too much toe for them.

Brian, my memories date to 2008 and 2009. They may not have been quicker by foot, but gee they moved it quickly...

They certainly did move it fast by foot. But they have lost a lot of leg speed in recent times - guys like Eagleton, Akermanis, Rohan Smith, Jarrod Harbrow are no longer with them.

We have them covered in this area now. Thats not to say they still arent a good opponent as they have some very good (albeit mainly inside) players.

Just on the Dogs, Eade has run his race their ILO. Be amazed if he is coaching them next year. Has anyone seen a first coach sacked market anywhere? would love to jump on.

They have more than a decent amount of talent coming through, will be a good list for the new coach to work with next year. Likely Leon Cameron.

AFL has banned the betting agencies from fielding a market for coach sackings.

Thought the same. If the Tigers get up this week then Eade is as good as gone.

If White is out i would bring in Morton.Being at Etihad we should have plenty of inside 50's & dare i say it King,Nahas will receive more attention & another scoring option will be handy
