Changes against the Bulldogs

I'll predict ins: Post, Webberley and Helbig,
then the same 22 will run as last week.

close.
official ins are:
Webberley, Helbig and Farmer

interesting to see Farmer in contention so quickly.

I'd like to see Helbig again, like the look of him. Also give us another mid-size target up forward who pushes into the midfield rotations which allows Martin to spend more time in his long-term position of midfield instead of filling gaps up forward a lot more than he would be (even though he's awesome up there too). If he played he would probably be sub though, so could come in early or late in 3rd for a player like White.

Having said that, Webberly deserves a game more. Play him off HB, Batchelor, Newman and Webberly as rebounders. Lids to the midfield. Nason out and full game at Coburg.

Either way.

More likelihood of Helbig than Morts atm. Seems to be right on the nose.
Would love to have it confirmed why he's dropped off Dimma's radar.

The coaching staff, especcially Leppitch, rate Farmer very, very highly.

No surprise to see him included although I doubt he will get selected.

I dunno.

It's obvious the coaching staff have their favourites and not everyone is held to the same standards. Rightly or wrongly.

Some players have to play very well and consistently at a lower level, others don't (Nason, Farmer, Helbig, etc) and get easy inclusions.

I'm not trying to make an argument here all I'm just saying I don't think it's very debatable. People can make their own minds up about it.

No Brian Lake. Awesome.

God knows what Leppitsch sees in Farmer. He was awful a few weeks back for Coburg.

Must've trained well.

There are no easy inclusions these days, Barnsy. Those days have gone. As we continue to improve it will get harder and harder. The idea of favourites is long gone.

Its been a long time since we've had a side this settled. Not because we don't have anyone to elevate, but because those getting a game are earning it. Even Edwards has done enough to hold his own in the last couple of weeks. You wouldn't want to let your performances slip now, or people will be climbing all over you.

I've seen Coburg last few weeks and Webberley, Browne and Post are well ahead of Morton and Nason's form at Coburg was good enough for inclusion.

Farmer has not got big numbers but his AFL fundamentals are better than Morton.

No favourites other than preferring players who are following instructions.

No hall, no Higgins, no lake = no excuses IMO.

All three have been crucial in beating us in previous matches. Not overating us blah blah blah - But this is a very winnable game for the club pure and simple.

no williams either

that's the Full back, Centre half back, full forward, and a midfielder

and they're playing poorly and we're on fire, and full strength

we can't lose this,

Yes but big Minnow is still there to take the last kick for goal ... although someone other than Lake will have to fake a cramp ... grudges are difficult to let go!
