Pretty disappointed in your comments re Meyer

I know where you may be coming from.

Apart from the opportunity to trade for a Maric/Meeson, there is another aspect.
It comes from our list.
As far as hffs are concerned, we have:
Pettifer - 24yo
Hyde - 23yo
Krakouer - 23yo
Roach - 20yo
Tambling -19yo
Meyer - 19yo
So we have 6 players under 25yo who could fill the position of a hff. Does a senior list of 38 players need 6 hffs? Take out Tambling & Meyer, who can play upfield, still leaves 4.

How many ruckmen under 25yo do we have?
Pattison - 19 - doubling as a key forward prospect, and,
Graham - 18yo
Don't you think the list might be slightly out of kilter.

Meyer is an opportunity to trade a quality junior for another quality junior of a different type. I have nothing against Meyer. I hope he goes onto a great AFL career.
My guess is that it would advantage all of the RFC, the Crows & Meyer for a trade to be done.

Love him to make a cameo appearance against the Crows this weekend.

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! Why would you trade off a twenty year old kid who had just developed up from bits n pieces to having a big year?
Wouldn't you seriously consider he'd probably make a long term player and plan to keep him?

I'm not suggesting we want to get rid of Meyer, and like many I really hope he comes good.
But, we do need another ruckman, preferably someone who's around 20 and can start playing immediately, and shows a lot of potential. Given our needs, and the fact we don't want a dud ruckman, we would need to give up something pretty reasonable to get a good, ready-to-go, young ruckman.
What other SA-born player do we have, that the Crows may want, to get their young ruckman? ???
