About bloody time. If St. Kilda fail to win a flag with the list they've currently got as a result of exploiting the system then footy could still get out of this relatively unscathed. It's a shame the AFL can't take Koschitzke and Ball off them. Teams being rewarded for failure (often as a result of lack of commitment, poor coaching, bad administration etc. rather than a lack of talent), supporters barracking against their own team - what a joke.

Changes to priority picks.

I personally would have accepted the "in-between" option, where the bottom 8 sides still had picks 1-8, then any "Priority Picks" would be taken before the sides that finished in the finals had their go.
If these latest changes result in perennial poorly performing clubs taking too long to improve, then it will mean more years of heartache for those who have the misfortune of finishing low on the ladder in the next few seasons.
I think the balance has tipped a little too far the other way now.
