Looks like Rance jumped the gun with the article on the RFC website during the week:

"RICHMOND youngster Alex Rance is looking forward to the Gold Coast this weekend: firstly, for the clash with Adelaide and secondly, a change of scenery."

:hihi

CONFIRMED

i have no idea why they'd get rance to do the press conference if they're gonna drop him. i suspect he's emergency to come in for mcguane who i heard injured his knee against saints. just keeping mcguane on the team sheet as he's a local boy in the hope that he may recover in time.

It would appear that could be a possibility. With Walker getting dropped we may be top heavy in defence with Moore, McGuane, Silvestor and Thursty. Rance coming back in would make some sense. Somebody is gonna have to take Porplyzia - although after last week I guess Thursty is a chance for that gig. Rance can then be the versatile option.

For those keeping score at home Thompson, Petts and McMahon are named on the extended bench for Couburg and could all play Couburg 2's. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark...

All haven't played well in the past couple of matches. Thomson has been injured but I wonder if he's losing some motivation as well now.

If he doesn't find some soon, he will be able to look for it while he is looking for a new job.

I got no qualms with McMahon and Pathetifer in Coburg seconds.

In fact cant we just sack them now and be done with it.

I am starting to get a gut feel that ol Sanchez is in big trouble, no Wallet to protect him now, and the extra $$$ gained via Cuz may well see ol Sanchez being payed out and Peed Orf.

Same could go for Sargeant Snooze too, pay him out and send him packing.

Geez, I think the semi-tank is on.

Silvestor holds his spot? Geez.

We are struggling for a get out kick to full forward and we still don't go in with *smile* at full forward. If any thing we should be playing him to pump up his trade value.

Giving Rance a spell is ok in my book, don't over do the workload. I think he can become a Campbell Brown type. Maybe a more hard running type. But tough as nails.

I think he must be injured Scooper as not named for Coburg either.

Righto. Any idea of how long he is out for?

Also, I think Jay *smile* will go down as one of the biggest losers of the Wallace era. Mismanaged to the hilt.

Think Jay only hurt himself Scoop. Yeah mismanaged in someways depending on your POV, but when you get an opportunity you grab it. Jay never did grab it IMO.

I don't think he is blameless at all. But the club did him no favours. And not trading him for pick 28 was another mistake for both player and club. Fancy keeping him and then hardly playing him.

disagree pooper not mismanagement just plain old not good enough and its been evident for many yrs. in fact wallace recognised it before he came to the club. what is totally baffling is with schulz continuing to struggle under wallace with schulz not held in high regard to begin with why the hell, no how the hell did the deal with port not go ahead. if wallace had any say in in this bungle its grounds for further condemnation. how can anyone be so stupid.

The fact that he is still not getting a game says his papers are stamped. Certain trade bait. Whatever we can get for him will be fine.

Is anyone still extremely frustrated with the lack of forward structure? You're never going to win games without a decent setup unless you have elite runners - see Dogs.

We lack at least 1 - 2 talls down there (Big Vick is way too raw to be commanding a Rutten/Bock). Even a Jack Riewoldt is too, still very skinny and is often double teamed. Feel very sorry for the kid and think he's done well as the lone tall (Even his Cousin would struggle in our poor forward structure).

I know no one is demanding a spot but to be relying on Morton/JR to take the best defenders is not good at all. Hopefully someone pushes up soon.

Cotchin Riewoldt Connors/Edwards (who is too small to play back for now, needs to bulk up or play as a forward).
Morton Gourdis Nahas

Something along those lines with Big Vick pushing down as the resting ruckman. At least it will give us some damn structure and another tall target to go long to break a zone. Sorry to be so negative but it's been my one big problem with the team all year along with too many inside mids with poor disposal rotating through the middle (turnover galore).
