Changes vs Hawks

Braisy Glaze, I'm glad to see Titch retained this week. I don't think he'll get the chop again unless he fully counters the coach's instructions. He's struggling a bit by hand and his kicking is a problem but he's doing the hard yards and until he met the diligent Crow midfield was getting a few clearances a game.

He's only 19. Maybe he's the advertised 71kgs. He was credited with IIRC three tackles last week but twelve didn't stick. He'll never be a monster but we've lightened him off a little bit, I reckon, to get some zip back into him. And he will go in, chase and run the length of the ground both ways.

And we will get three or four more kegs on him and those tackles will stick in time. Then there's also the remote chance that one of his mates will help him out.

NB at 19yo he plays midfield regularly and can get the ball. Major indicator. We've seen his hands when he has more time and I have no doubt they'll be just as smart in the cauldron in time.

Morton I think is purely in for structural reasons and given that he is thieving oxygen in our jumper I reckon he should've been chopped. I don't care if Connors defecated in Wallet's lap(top); He should get a gig ahead of the this impostor. Morton should be in the thirds and punted at year's end.

Glad to see Cartledge given a game. Although I reckon Gus has a better future because I don't think neat skills are at issue in the ruck these days. It's collision talent that matters. But Cartledge gets a chance to earn a spot.

Axel has been just a bit off his game for most of the year but he draws a top quality tag and he attracts plenty of opposition aggression at the stoppages. I'd like to see him given a bit more space for a year or more. Change him HBF, HFF, I don't care but he is carrying too big a burden for one so small.

Given that his kicking is 5-10m short of his best I cred the OP rumour. And Lynden Dunn gave him a 5m start over 20m and a beating a coupla months back. Can't extend. I won't mind if he gets an extra three weeks to get right. We don't want to Luke Ball him. I don't want to ball him at all.

What makes your venomous rants more enjoyable than most on PRE is because they are highly targeted they are extra intense. Has Steamee's mother dropped the restraining order now that you have a new target of hate?

I get a bit narky if we trade for them, Colonel.

And Mrs Steamee is overly sensitive about molotov cocktails if you ask me. I consider them telegramme a la flambe.

Maybe he was supposed to be on McLeod last week. ;)

wrongly he didnt get the chance. at any stage.

saying that he was poor in his role & deserves to be dropped. Jakes unlucky others didnt join him...

Morton and Mcmahon are huge disappointments and lucky to be in the side after their lack of output over several weeks. Isn't it strange how their former clubs actually new more about their value than us.... :duh

Far out, a quiet few weeks and all of a sudden Morton has become just another "recycled player"?

Agree skybeau. Far too early to be writing off Morton - has played some very good games. The permanent forward role is a tough one to play, even moreso at Richmond. It seems after a couple of quiet games you should be automatically chopped from the list completely.

Agree on all counts.

Of more concern is how Terry's love child Jacko gets a gig before Polo.

Polo was deadset sensational in the last quarter of the Coburg Game last week. Bullants got an early goal to go out to a near 4 goal lead in the last and then Polo parked across centre half back and took contested marks and won hard ball and distributed time after time. Had the young boy Rance help out by coming over the top and making a contest in the arial challenges and Polo did the rest. Rawlings described his game as sensational which is sort of indicative that the casting vote rests with Wally on these issues and he prefers the clueless athelete over the real footballer.

Blind spot methinks!

I don't mind Morton at all sky.
Was just using it as an op to remind moments of the irony of his statement.

Ahhh, I see, sorry...good call, far too subtle for me ToO. ;D

A lesson learned re recycled footballers.
Have always argued we should be developing our own Too but Cousins is an entirely different case to players for whom we have traded, like Mcmahon and Moreton.

If he is cleared by the AFL and is available come our 3rd round pick, I'd almost certainly be in favour as we desperately need his leadership both on the field and on the training track.

Just as a matter of interest where are you on this at the moment?

The Cartliage family will be following your posts anxiously in the coming week.

If it hasn't already been mentioned, both Polo and Meyer didn't play for the Burgers today.

Meyer failed a fitness test today so he didn't play for coburg. I'm guessing Polo is the first emergency and may be a chance to come in as a late change tomorrow.
