Changes vs Melbourne

I honestly think we will get pumped by the Dees this weekend.

1) Too many passengers.

2) Terry's backwards game plan.

3) Uncommitted players.

4) Telstra dump.

All these roads lead to pain!

Jackson had 24 possies to 3/4 time playing the grunt midfield role, and spent the last 1/4 on the bench due to a slight leg injury.

hydey had plenty of it as well.

Jacko has been consistently in the best at Coburg.

Don't just look at one week.

hyde was going Ok then crucified by Plough in a match up and only dropped because there was no match up last week.

i am amazed at how many people seem to comment on Coburg results without clearly watching them this year.

Can someone remind me how Hyde and Jackson went at Coburg last week. They're the types of changes you make when you can't be bothered making changes.

I sit here watching Essendon v West coast and I see a heap of kids running around for both sides getting experience and confidence. Some of them who are both younger and less developed than the likes of Connors, Collins, Rance, Hughes. How can these kids be more ready for AFL than ours? West Coast seem to think if youre on the list you are ready. They will overtake us at 100 miles per hour in a year or two as these kids quickly find their feet, while we decide who to to promote out of Tivendale and Pettifer when we drop Hyde.

lol @ Hyde in for Tivendale ......... again.

dont worry its not like we should learn from the eagles/bombers, 2 sides who have more flags in the past 20 years than we have finals appearances

I like the RFC model seems to be working a treat

What a carry-on. Am reasonably satisfied with the changes.

Thursfield, King out injured.
Tivendale, Pettifer, Edwards dropped.

What I would have called after last week.

Riewoldt replaces Polak forward who replaces Thursfield in a third tall spot down back. Fair enough.
Hyde replaces King as the small defender or switches with White. Fair enough.
Jackson replaces Tivendale who replaced Johnson as the midfield tagger. Fair enough.
Morton replaces Pettifer as a small running forward. Fair enough.
Edwards hasn't had the impact he should have and needs game time at Coburg. Fair enough.
JON - after a good six weeks at Coburg interupted by a small arm fracture is bought in to give more defensive options if Polak, McMahon or Mcgaune don't perform. Fair enough.

The only other change I would have made is Hughes in for Polak since there's not much difference as a tall forward option but Hughes doesn't deserve it and Polak can at least be used as a third tall down back.

Polo can do with a bit more time at Coburg, get him real hungry.
Connors needs to learn about four qtr efforts from all reports and doesn't deserve a free run.
Collins in probably in the same boat while Rance can be bought on smoothly, after all he has only played a couple of ganes at Coburg first level, let's not go too hard. Posters were saying that Cotchin could stay at Coburg all season if necessay so lets not go overboard with a kid we want for the next ten years in a key defensive position.

Finally, everyone slagging off Hyde should remember how good he was before the skull fracture. He's been beaten by two of the best players in the competition (one the Brownlow favourite the other with two medals already) and remember that the form of these two players has been even better against supposedly better players than Hyde. Last week North were reduced to standing off and waiting for mistakes while Goodes ran rampant, marking everything in sight.

Maybe he played them into form but..... ;D

One too many solarium sessions for Terry the Tan.

Tiv and Hyde playing selection kiss chasey is enough to make me :vomit

And Jacko, FFS Terry, talk about diggin' your own grave.

Might as well bring back Nicholls, Marsh and Fletcher.

Hows Richo going this week will he play? Maybe Rance would come in if Richo doesn't come up but I'd say Richo would be licking his lips at playing the Dees they don't have a match up for him.

Rosy and her other mods will be very busy on Sunday night if we drop this game. There will be explosive comments left right and centre.

I cant believe how well we were playing with young kids wanting to play then bring back some wasted duds who changed the whole dynamics of the side and then rewards another dud by recalling him.

Terry you are gonna need a tough Hyde if you balls this one up.

It shows how much pressure the coaching staff are under to get a win.
The perfect oppotunity to debut a player like Rance against the "D's" but they go for the recycle the dud option again.
At some stage these guys (coaching staff) have gotta show some balls or we're on a road to nowhere!!!

I've asked this before but haven't received an answer, does anyone know who is on our match committee? I assume its not just Wallace picking the side.

They probably have the balls but they have no idea because there are so many mixed messages coming from the coach. Terry's history of not following through on his threats, bringing back duds, recycling duds, redrafting duds, selecting duds, drafting duds, dropping duds for kids then dropping kids for duds, swapping a dud for a bigger dud, selecting duds onto his coaching panel, listening to duds. He is a bigger dud than the last dud coach we had

Mrs Hyde and Tivendale alternate each week sitting on the match committee ;D

To say the club is not going forward just because Rance an 18 year old,and Polo ,pretty much a dud, hasn't been picked seems a bit of an over exageration to me.

Whats so great about polo that he just HAS to be in the side this week?

Not just directed at you scoop BTW.PRE seens to have turned into drama queen central of late.
sheesh you been hanging around jb bevo you borrowed his blinkers or something.

It's a good question, some seem to think it is Wallace on his own, which this is obviously not the case. but it would be interesting to know who is on it.
