No way what have we done to *smile* the footy gods off.
Richmond, the Dogs and the Saints, until last night I thought the Tigers were the only side to have players suffer those freakish broken legs.

Reported that its a stress fracture and will be out for the rest of the season.

They're selling us short. The stress fracture could be healed in time for Danny to play in the Grand Final.

You can add the Lions to that list.
I can't remember so many injuries to players in a season for a long, long time.

Interestingly, I thought the same, that there appeared to be alot more injuries last couple of years. Was listening to SEN however yesterday with Bartlett, and the dude who heads the practitioners association for football said that injuries in terms of gametime has dropped in recent years. Said that by number of games missed, hamstrings were the highest cause of missed games, followed by knees (due to the length of time out). Was surprised to hear this myself. He also opposed the claim that painkillers were getting out of control, and said that clubs only resort to painkillers on the odd occassion.

I think that was true up until this year but I'd be surprised if he included this season in their findings.

I noticed a guy in Bulldog coaching box that I could swear used to be in our coaching box, looks like an elderly jockey

anyone know who he is?

He was at the club for ages. I think he was therre for Northey's last year & all through Frawley's reign. Does the board & player movements for the coach. Not sure if he was Frawley's brother in law.
