Looked in the paper last night for the Footy marathon.......what! not on? Jesus...
Went to bed and thought well at least the North Breakfast will be a good and traditional start to the day....
Switched it on at 8am,and got Good ol Christy %^&%house crapping on in front of a statue about how big a bloody day its going to be! Bloody hell 10 what the #@#@ is this all about!
We get a few minutes of stage stuff,with the traditional chit chat and then its back to CM with more crap!

I think I might be just a bit testy cos as a kid I got so used to getting ready to go to the G to see the boys get another flag......those were the days...

Cmon 10 cut the crap,and give us what is advertised the North breakfast! ???

Fox footy has had the footy marathon on starting at about 10pm last night and going right through till they show the TAC Cup live at 10am this morning guys.

The footy marathon is a great channel 7 tradition, I miss it!
 
Your right Orph. Like you I turned the bloody thing off when they cut from the comedy to CM showing off a statue!

Why can't we just have the ressies (or U18's) followed by a song or two then the GF. This arvo there is sure to be 2 hours of Channel 10 people all talking theory/looking pretty  when all we want to do is watch the football!
 
They need to look at getting a metro league and putting their Grand Final as the "reserves" game. A lot of leagues would be interested and if the AFL paid an annual fee to that league to make up for attendance and food, drink that they'd sell at their headquarters wherever they may be. Even have it on a rotating scale have ten different leagues taking it in turns.

One of the blokes she was interveiwing was funny, she was saying that he'd been selling papers out the front of the 'G' and he told her he'd been doing it since 6 this morning, never sold a paper out the front of it EVER!! Was a good laugh. :hihi :hihi

I saw that too JRod, it was very funny! He didn't even know he had to go to the G until he got to work!! LOL!!

Just goes to show she;s only the TV for looks, got nothing else going for her. I mean she's having a fling the Straughnie.

Even better, have the previous week's Premiers from a couple of Vic. leagues play each other in a "Champion of Victoria" game.

Imagine the motivation for those players of being able to play a game on the 'G on Grand Final day!
 
I thought Tens pre coverage today was the worst for many years . Fancy having a Canadian singing for goodness sake. I miss CH 7 Coverage, BRING back Mike Brady with Up There Cazaly and One Day In September and throw in the Rocky theme plus A.C.D.C and many more...........

The best coverage was by Channel 7 in 1980 (call me bias) when the Tigers won the GF at approx 5.00, ran around the ground and had the presentations leading upto the news at 6.30?, and then by evening (8.00 or 8.30) Channel 7 showed the club's after-game function until late evening.

Nowadays, Ch 10 doesn't even bother showing 'After the Game' and saying goodbye for the season.
 
THe coverage was pretty good although I cringe when we roll out &^*^ heads like Dame Edna or Kath & Kim .... still, thats not Ch 10's fault.

I would love to have seen the TAC GF though. Much rather watch elite kids playing than listening to comentators "fill" with the smaltzy "one day in September" crap.
