I am jumping in the chatroom to see if anyone has some interesting thoughts. Might see you in there.

Basically, early days, BC got through ok, TV is still a bit away from it so too is Rance but a good hit out for them.
Jack and Richo's shots at goal are horrible, basically cost us the hald time lead and the momentum....

March 26 is a long way off, so she'll be right...

missed Joel, Tucky and co. too

No goals in a half of footy, in any game, is quite damning.

Conversely, Pies are polished.

Richo just got a goal at the 14 minute mark of the 3rd quarter on telly. Which quarters didn't we get a goal in? I thought people were referring to the second half.

yeah weve kicked 2 in the 3rd. someone here said we didnt kick any - dont believe everything you read..

Not overly concerned about the result. We lost because our kicking was less efficient than Collingwood's.But overall i'm really pleased with what we've got and the season ahead.

Some really pleasing signs tonight! :clap

Actually a little relieved we lost.

Means we slip out of the limelight for the last two pre season games and there is no pressure on tw to play the veterans.

Means we can slip under the radar into the round 1 game against the scum with them having all the pressure.

Someone needs to tell Gus, those things attached to your shoulders are called arms...put them in the air when you contest. ???

If you watch a replay, take notice how he leaps into a rucking contest & then drops his arms down ( weird ).Nothing too hard to teach. The kid shows a bit of promise.

My god. A post that's not full of doom and gloom! It's hard to know what to make of it. We joke in the days leading up to a NAB cup game that a loss will have the ferals out, ripping up their memberships. But still I didn't really believe that the reaction would be so much.... coach to be sacked, no one can kick, no one can kick a goal...whole team duds.....

I loved the look of Rance, Vickery, Thomson, Post. Angus is making progress. Mitch Morton showed a couple of second efforts. Jack took a great one hand mark that showed strength. Nathan Brown is looking very sleek in the middle. Ben Cousins didn't do a hammy, but he did do enough to indicate that he's going to be a nice addition to the team.

Their kicking for goal was off. But all teams go through that at some stage. Better now than later. Their kicking and decision making under pressure is off. But that happens in a 5 month lay off. That's what the pre-season is for.

I'm still looking forward to the real thing in March. :gotigers
