Was wondering last night who began the weird, but now commonplace and accepted, practice of carrying distressed children onto the ground and through the banner for milestone games. I don't remember this "carry on" (pardon the pun) when KB, Bourkey, etc were racking up milestones so why is it necessary now to lug your sister's friends 9mth old cousin through the banner while they look like they are auditioning for the next Blair Witch movie.

Got no problem with the fam joining in celebrations after the game, such as with Rohan Smith's kids after the game last week. But before the game seems almost inappropriate to me. And it's like your some uncaring goat if you don't look like you've held up a childcare centre on the way to a milestone game.

A mate has the notion Tim Watson may have started this. Anyone else have an opinion or an idea as to where it came from?
