A few people have bagged Chris, but on yesterdays performance I think there are a lot of postives. He had 18 touches and kicked 2 goals in a little over 2 Qtrs. I think Chris will have consistent 20+ disposal games and will push forward more than last year. Would not be surprised if he kicked 25+ goals for the year. The new kick in rule is going to suit a player like him down to the ground as well. Plough has him in his long term plan and for good reason.

yeh played good, needs a right foot, its gunna cost us

Good observation bunnerz, you would of least have a crack with your opposite foot especially when you're 15 metres out from goal and when the opposition are tearing down on you on your preferred side. ::), anyway it nearly paid off with that left foot mongrel checkside.

Where did you find these stats? I would like to look over the stat sheet for this game.

On topic: Hyde is listed in our best in the match report.

i've said it before and i'll say it again. it's a disgrace that a professional footballer can't kick or handball with both feet and hands. i recall when i played junior footy that we had training drills where we had to use our non-prefered side only.

unfortunately its been a problem at rfc for many years, campbell, knights etc and even many of our current players in tivendale, chaffey etc.

but in saying that there are many good players going around in the afl that dont have an opposite foot. scotty lucas is one i can think of and i'm sure there a dozens more but many disguise it well and are not caught out as profoundly as hydey was yesterday

still no excuse for it. surely if you had ambitions to make it to the big league you would practice on bothes sides of the body

joel couldn't use his other side when he was younger but has become quite adept at it

mate , the guy not only has ambitions to play afl. HE IS PLAYING AFL. hydey didn't or doesn't practise enough to be confident using it when under the pump. it will not stop him from playing plenty more years of afl footy so just deal with it ian4

did he use it in the heat of the battle in his junior days? i would think not

i'm not having a go at hydey here as this is ripe acros the whole competition. i don't think it's very professional

Hyde should have slammed that right footer across his body straight up. Even on his despised right it's ninety percent likely to be a goal if he can just keep his feet given the his view of it.

Had he decided to checkside it immediately he's only got to make sure he gets a clean strike to the rear of the ball to ensure a goal or even more likely a ball dropping into the goalsquare.

He was slow to make a bad decision. He's normally quick to make good ones.

And he did slot the other two.
