Chris Ladhams has told Adelaide that he wants to persue his career at another club next year. He had a great 2003 playing 20 games before injury ruined his 2004 and he couldn't get a game in their injury-free, classy midfield of 2005. I will probably get bagged for this by many on this site but I think we should have crack at him. I have seen a lot of him at SANFL level and he dominates. We wouldn't have to pay much and could probably get him with our PSD pick. In my opinion he is a far better player than a few of our small midfield/forwards and would be an excellent, cheap replacement for Krakouer if we trade him. He does appear to have a few minor attitude problems in that he is very arrogant on the field and rates himself highly, but so do most good players. With a very late ND pick or our PSD pick I think he would be a very worthwhile gamble.

Ladhams, 179, 77, 24yo

Originally drafted by Essendon, Ladhams has failed to impress at AFL level both there and at Adelaide.
Players of his type, if they show anything, do so by 20yo.

Basically, he's past his AFL window of opportunity.

Should continue to be a good SANFL player.

Wouldn't think so.

Essendon let him go without him playing a game.

Have you seen him play though BigWowser? I have watched several of his games this year and he is a class above SANFL level. He played 50-odd games with the Crows so he's proved Essendon wrong already.

Thanks for your thoughts Phantom but I cant agree. I believe he is a far, far better player than Foley, Roach and Gilmour.

Jayfox some old Norht Adelaide boys I know have told me many times about his attitude to footy and how much it stinks. No thank you on this one. HE is a talent but I want committed blokes not blokes who take it for granted as he does.

Attitude is my only concern with him Shawry but I thought that TW could belt that out of him. Besides if it was our PSD pick and there isn't anyone else left then I thought it was worth the risk. As you say he is talented.

I did see him play well against Richmond a year or so back.
But we have gotten in trouble before picking up players who play well against us. Luke Weller ring any bells.
The quality of the opposition flatters them!!

Clay Sampson with a poor attitude.

Arrogant FFS!! This bloke is a poor man's Shane Woewodin. Let him stay in the SANFL.

I'd rather give opportunities to Polo, Raines, Roach, Foley, Jackson etc.
