Thought it would be nice Rosy to have a seperate thread for this class player so he knows that all here at Punt Road End feel for him and send him our best wishes for his recovery and back playing football in 12 months.

This is where Browny's experience will come into play.

I was watching the replay of Richmond on Sunday and after the Newman incident one of the commentators said " I think Rory Hilton has had another injury." Well the other commentators corrected him of corse but gee u know thats chris Newman a very very good player. If people dont know who he is they will in a couple years. Hope you will be back soon Chris!
 
I was gutted when i heard it on Radio - absolutely distraught when i saw it on replay. Get well mate - I am just glad you have got Browny to guide you through a tough time ahead. You'll be back better then ever - get well soon.
 
Chris there is not a lot that can be said. We saw your pain but cannot feel your pain.

We can only hope now that all goes well and that when you come back stronger you can pick up where you left off....riding the wave of success.

You are a champion and I wish you a speedy recovery. Its been a long while since there has been a legendary player wearing the number 1 jumper.

It seems if you play for Richmond you have to get seriously injured at some stage. So probably good to get it out of the way now.

Look forward to seeing you back in 07, and back to your best in 08 when we march into the finals.

Great news on 10 tonight, club doctor predicts that Newman could be back by Round 1 next year, it's a cleaner break.

Good luck Newmo. Not much more can be said. I have no doubt your Tiger toughness will come to the fore in this situation. We look forward to seeing you back on the park sooner rather than later.
