As others have also commented, Smokin', the lack of leadership across the lines is severely damaging the Tigers.
Each and every one of the 22 players selected each week should be capable of showing leadership, particularly when it's their "time to go" at the contest. And much leadership is shown when players are willing to consistently do the one percenters such as blocking, shepherding, leading, gut-running, linking-up etc.
Seems the Tigers are, other than just a few, bereft of natural leaders across the field.
It still staggers me that the best player on the list, Riewoldt, isn't in the leadership group. If the leadership group is selected by the players then that just underlines what little the Richmond players know and understand about leadership.
And regarding Cotchin, if fellow team mates are unable to be inspired his relentless efforts at the contest (irrespective of his form) then they won't ever be inspired to dig deep for the Yellow and Black.
