Great video Premiers, agree with Willow, very classy production. Starkly contrasted by Ian4's lack of class

You may very well be but I felt the timing of your comment was poor

chris dudman will be on SEN after the 8am news tomorrow
It doesn't deserve a reply that comment Ian.
But I will anyway...
If you want to go fishing for a bite, head to the bay and don't put silly childish comments about our club captain on this thread. You really are highlighting your lack of class and intelligence. Grow up.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

Newie on AFL 360 tonight was very impressive. :thumbsup

Spoke very well and exudes a calmness and like-ability.
Doesn't get much credit as Skipper in the Tigers resurgence but this is his 4th year as Captain now and has really grown into the job after his initial baptism of fire.
One feels at the very least that he has played a big part in uniting the club in his time wearing the no17.

Most interestingly he had no doubt that Dimma was the right man to coach us beyond this year but wouldn't be drawn on when the announcement should be made.

The Chimp is the heir apparent but Chris is doing a fine (and underrated) job in the meantime. I really hope he gets to taste some success.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

I think Newman as skipper right now is an excellent outcome for the club.

Cotch and co. can spend this year focussing on their own games and hopefully getting a taste of winning more games and playing at least a final.

That's right! Doing a super job as Skipper and doesn't want to relenquish the job any time soon i noticed. :clap

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

Not one of his best efforts tonite (and that's being nice). His kicking out was typically woeful. But he's our skipper and his sh!t doesn't stink so all is forgiven

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

Leave Chris alone Diggler. He has been such a great servant of our club... He deserves to be untouchable

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

I reckon he must be injured. he was very slow and couldnt keep up at times. Also his kicking lacked pace and precision, a sure sign of some sort of injury.

And that torp was embarrassing. Mentally he looked shot.

Mate he has been like that for 10 years!!!

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

Worst game I have seen from him in three years.

Was awful. But will bounce back. Kicking was awful.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

What does Chris Newman add to this team? He just plods along. Close to the worst captain in the AFL. When is the last time he played a captains game? Never seen him lead by example which might explain why we have such a mentally weak backline. The quicker we move Chris on and put Cotch in his rightful spot as captain of this footy club, then this club moves forward.

Agree, Ian. Deserves more ALOT respect then he gets.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

He is a level headed, strong leader, who does lead by example. He keeps his head and very rarely fails to kick to our advantage. He had a couple bad kick-out last night, but it is possible that he was following a game plan and that up the ground others weren't.

Maybe you are right, KR but i just don't see it. Ive never seen it with him. He is just a very average footballer who will never play finals footy.
