Just trolling again. Ignore.

Thank god for that!

Not trolling just stating the facts. An ordinary footballer with little talent and ZERO leadership skills captaining the club.
At least Trevor Barker the league record holder of most games played without playing in a final had a highlight reel!!!
Worst captain in Richmonds history!!!

"zero leadership skills" :rotfl

Thanks for sharing your pearls of wisdom. Very strange that Dimma, the coaching panel, the board, president, CEO and the players have a different view of Newmans contribution to the club as a captain and a player.....very strange indeed.

Nice try Champ

Yes true but I'd hardly call that lot successful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

Has declined quickly. Still gets a bit of the ball but constantly stop starts when he gets it and doesn't offer much run. Lots of wayward kicks this season too.

Gee he was quiet today.

Yes some more poor kicking today, Cotch has to take over as captain next year.

Agreed, Ian. They really should have taken the chance and given the captaincy to Cotch this year.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

Struggling, much like Jack, Plasma and Dusty this year.

If that 4some don't find form we won't make finals his year.

Yeah it's worrying that so many of the core group are struggling.

In saying that I was extremely pleased to see others step into the fray today.

That's the bit that gets me as well. I am critical of some player''s performances as well, we all are, but I immediately want that Richmond player to stick it up everyone and dominate the next week.
It just seems to me that some on here would rather be right about a player than see some Richmond players actually do well.
Perhaps that is wrong but it's certainly the feeling I get sometimes.
Sin, I hope I am proved wrong everytime, but you have to say it as you see it. I keep banging on about TV Edwards Foley Jackson etc etc but it s**ts me when these players continually turn over the ball or their disposal is pox and the opposition catches us out on 80% of occasions. I have seen 5 Tiger premierships in my life time, there are some on here that haven't experienced finals football. It gets me angry when people accept mediocrity. I was bought up in the Tom Hafey era where we slept/ate/shi**ed Richmond. I want those days back. Sorry forgot to say Newmans disposal has been terrible.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

A shadow of his former self. Today he was simply very ordinary.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

ha ha ha heard that defence used for differing circumstances over the years.

Its like the Chewbacca defence.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

No evidence but I wonder if he's a bit disgruntled that Dimma preferred others in the middle and he's again at HB?
Just seems down on intensity by 10%.
May lose his place during the year if he keeps going at this rate.

Re: Chris Newman (Merged)

I'm hoping he has just had a slow start to the year and he'll find form as the season goes on. We can't really afford for our senior guys like Newman to go backwards. Looks like he is slow to react at times and his kicking which has been 1st class the last few years is suddenly letting him down, several uncharactistic clanger kicks this year. Hopefully confidence will lift after today's win which in turn will lead to improvement in form.
