Chris Newman

I saw Chris tonight at the Wantirna Club and he is now walking without crutches and only has a slight limp. He has started swimming, riding and doing weights. He has 12 guys in the rehab group with him so he isnt getting to lonely. He also said that Matt Maguire had to go back into surgery tonight for something to do with his leg and that it didnt sound to good.

Great news. Apparently his break was a lot 'cleaner' than Brownys so hopefully this means a speedy recovery. Certainly on the way anyway.

...12 guys in the gym with him?? Talk about the injuries!

I expect no serious input from Newman in 2007 after watching Browny this year.

I was there also and newman looked remarkably well and i told him so. I actually didnt notice any limp at all. I asked him if rd 1 was looking good and he said yeah for sure. Browny was there also and said he was offered the rest of the year off but rejected it saying he'd rather be out on the field.

Saw him walk across the ground before the game Saturday, he was limping a bit, but no crutches, which is encouraging.
