Anyone know when we are supposed to wear our clash jumper for the first time this year? Will it only be round 21 against the black and red curse?

I like our clash jumper without the number pane on the back, it looks great without that bit.
I have debated on buying one... They seem to be making them smaller and smaller though...

Does anybody support the idea of all afl clubs having a mostly white clash strip? I heard it mentioned in the media a few weeks back?
BTW - how bad was Essendon's clash jumper? Looked ugly and IMO didn't make any difference between us and them visually (based on tv anyway).

I dont mind the look of it all all, as far as a clash jumper goes I thought its pretty clever in its simplicity and retaining the link to the traditional, but I will be interested to see them on the ground, some jumpers look fine but dont look right on the ground. I have a feeling that this one will look good tho.
As for Essendons joke of a clash jumper, what a waste of time, why dont they just reverse it (ala Carlton and Collingwood) to retain their traditional design and colours, the one they wear just looks wrong and does little to avoid any clashes, in fact against Melbourne it would be worse than before!

Ignorant Brisbane person needs to know: what is the significance of the yellow arm band to Essendon?
Yes it is related to a cancer awareness cause. The AFL wouldn't allow them to wear yellow arm bands on game day. This is what Esserdun came up with to get around the ban. The AFL now have no problem with it as it isn't a piece of electrical tape.
Anduril, I was also thinking they should wear that guernsey for the Dreamtime game, but we supposedly clash with them and their alternative jumpers, as you know, don't have the band. Maybe they will next year but I doubt they would mix the two causes/acknowledgements they are seeking to publicise
