It might be because our playing list is very unbalanced,we are seriously deficient in the 23/27 year old bracket. If we delisted all your favourite duds such as Krak, Hall,Tivvers,Chaffey, Hyde along with Hilton and Morro our struture would be totally up sh!t creek and over the next couple of years while our kids were getting smashed week in week out you would find that our few remaining quality senior players would also be thinking about pissing off to try and maybe get a crack at some finals footy before old age wiped them out.
Probably half the young kids would be thinking about doing a runner as well just on the chance of getting to a real team that was actually competitive occaisionally and the members and sponsors would also be packing up the marbles and going home.
We've got about 20 kids under 21 on the list at the moment and plenty of opportunity for them to put the hand up and demand a senior spot, if they are good enough they will push your favourites off the list.

tm, you honestly think that without Krak, Hall,Tivvers,Chaffey, Hyde along with Hilton and Morro it would really make much difference to our results. I don't think so. I'd rather the youngsters learn of Lids than those clowns. At the very least, Hilton and Morro must go. I'd keep Hall due to our lack of defensive kpp's but the others are also expendable and have at least some value.

It's not just about results jb, it's about not letting all of our kids get hammered week in week out. You can't expect 18-20 year olds to stand up against bigger bodied players it just isn't going to happen. Until our younger kids develop and are ready to withstand the rigours of AFL weekly we still need guys like the ones you've listed. The kids shouldnt be expected to play straight away. What young guy is going to want to stay at a club where they get flogged every week. People want us to play our kids every week, funny they seem to be the same ones complaining about Rodan playing all those games when he didn't deserve them but we had no one else :

If they're good enough, then I say we get as many kids as we can and let them get absolutely hammered. Who cares ? That seems to be all they wanna' do nowadays anyway.

I hear you tg but I don;t think getting rid of those players will effect our results a great deal - we are going to get hammered regardless. WIth our draw next year, I'd be stunned if we were anythin other than zip and four.

I appreciate the claws sentiments in keeping the deluded ferals honest as some seem to think that the list is a player or 2 from being ready for Top 4 footy.

It is nowhere near playing at the upper echelon as graphically exposed by the Saints & Crows in Melbourne and even Freo (laugh/chuckle/spit) when in WA.

For some perspective, the Tiger list will not be fixed by 1 drafts and 2 trade weeks into a 5 year + (Terry's Tenure) development plan.

Give it some time, as there are significant structural repairs required both on and off field.

We tried to get rid of a couple of PRE duds -

Claw to Scumwood
Diggler to Carlscum

But the trade fell though - Scumwood and Carlscum both said "Why should we buy our own people?"
