Thats a big call. He is the kind of bloke that needs a good kick up the ass Robert Walls style.

JK if you read my post you will see that I said basically he needs to change his attitude. "If we can get him to apply himself to a similar extent as Axel or Cotch"

I fully realise that at the present time he is NOT in the same class as Rioli but he does have the same or better natural ability as him. CC must however CHANGE HIS ATTITUDE.

We all know many players who have had truck loads of natural talent but not the attitude or inclination to do the hard work necessary to become an AFL player.

I think Collard has already had a massive change in attitude, the difference between his fitness when he joined and where he is now is a massive improvement. The fact he was so far behind the others means that he still won't have the fitness to run both ways yet, you can't improve that much in 9-10 months.

He'll easily get another year on the rookie list, have a big preseason and let's make the call on him at the end of 2009. He has too much talent to just let go, and if he improves his fitness next year by the same amount he has this year, then we'll have a certain AFL player on our hands.

He has been a live wire in the last few weeks for the burgers. He has shown a lot of class and the silky skills of a crumbing forward. He is putting his hand up for a senoir list call up. He may just be the cog missing in our forward line.
