IMO, the shotgun Williams full forward thing should show Richmond a couple of things:
-dont need a 6 foot 6 fullforward
-accurate full forward is the key
-if shotgun can continue to kick 4-6 goals a week, how many could Lids kick if our forward line adopted the same structure? Lets compare the pair:
-Deledio is a stronger mark
-Deledio is as good a kick
-Deledio is faster
THEREFORE, I SAY THIS: When Lids rests in the forward line, get Richo out the hell of there (preferrably on a wing with instructions not to go within the 50). Get the other dinosaurs out of there as well and let Lids do his thing. In that situation, he would be unstoppable.
Would be interested in hearing peoples thoughts who dont think the above would work.
