Maybe its the Richo factor, but then it doest explain his jaded form in the vfl.

The Richo factor is a load of crap, parden the expression Kingy.

It has been touted as an excuse for under achievers for far too long in my opinion.

Richo doesn't play at Coburg so what has stopped the likes of him and Schulz consistently kicking bags at Coburg. These guys have to be able to dominate games at Coburg and they can't, its a cop out blaming Richo for these guys inadequacies.

Lids had no problems stepping up and kicking a bag of five in the forward line when Richo is there. Jack has kicked a few with limited time with Richo around.

These guys just simply have to want it and put there hand up to say here I am. It won't come on a platter they have to go chase it. They want Richo's spot go take it.

Well said, Gus!

I think Mr Clean-shorts will come in for a bit of attention this week.

Let's see how good he really is.

Yep no time like the present Growl. Hope the kid does well, we need him to step up and I for one hope he makes it.

My sentiments exactly Gus. I don't prescribe to these one man forward excuses, never have. Lid showed that day if you present correctly and work hard the ball will be delivered to you.

Every time ive seen him at senior level i reckon he has looked really nice...some guys just dont play well at reserve level...CHF is a shockin possie at that level...youd rather be a stay at home or 30m out fwd.

What i find amusing are the

Jay Schulz for key defence and Cleve to Defence threads.

My opinion is how about this *smile*in club actually draft a big bodied 194 cm + specialist key defender, instead of trying to make defenders out of lazy arsed forwards who lack intensity, pace and whove done jack sh!t especially in the case of Schulz.

If players are lazy as key forwards and lacking in intensity then these players are not the guys to have in the defensive half especially when they dont work hard enough.

If guys like Schulz show nothing after 5-6 years as he has done then *smile* them off and draft someone else who can.

I also think you have to try something different with Cleve.

When i met him last year in Phuket he did mention to me that Wallace had spoken to him re a back half position for him this year.

After two games where he showed me something (bag of three goals each) he has gone backwards at a rate of knots which has resulted in him playing coburg reserves tommorow(listed).

He seemed a smug type of guy when we spoke and like Danny has to decide if he wants to be here.
Find some ticker as well would help. At times i have seen him take a courageous mark and other times shirk the issue.

He needs a big pre season in the gym, working on building some muscle and fitness.

Have to try something.

One year only !

I don't think the club is trying to make defenders out of any of our forwards. Isn't that just a suggestion that keeps being asked by supporters?

I endorse every point you made there, Craig - including the *smiles*.

I try very very hard not to knock Richmond players but I gave up on Schulz a lonnnnng time ago and Mr Clean-shorts? :P
