PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Was watching the replay of AFL Teams on Foxsports tonight and caught there discussion of club cultures. They mentioned the cultures at a couple of other teams before mentioning Richmond and the current culture which was of a group of individuals playing for themselves. Was interested at comments by Brian Taylor who said the current culture had started back in the end of 1982 when the club had until then a culture of playing for the club and not for themselves before the club tried to get rid of to many 1980 premiership players to quickly instead of slowly getting rid of them over a number of years . When this happened the players started playing for themselves more than for the team. Since then as new players come in they pick up this culture from current players causing it be around at the club currently.

Anyone else see this and do you agree with it ?
