After 16 Rounds

Pettifer 24.15
Simmo 20.7
Richo 19.20
Brown 11.17
Schulz 8.2

Will Richo's reign finally end??? He has missed a few and is carrying an injury, although it would only take one classic dominant Richardson game to see him overtake Pettifer.

We have an even spread of goalkickers from our midfielders/small forwards this season. Reminds me a little of the mid 90s with Naish, Daffy, Campbell, Knights and co.

Those stats show a number of things

* We dont have enough goal kickers >:(
* We dont have a dominant forward :(
* Simmo has been fantastic, considering he has rucked most of year :clap
* Browny's goal kicking has been terrible :o
* Pettifer is much improved :clap
* What would have Fevola bought to tigerland ???

In answer to your question... who knows.... pettifer would be favourite, but as people say... never write off richo

* Krakouer, Hyde and P.Bowden have all kicked 12 goals each too but i chose to omit them from this list as i didn't believe they were capable of winning the club goalkicking.

Yeah its a pretty sad list 2 look at but my estimate

Pettifer - 34 goals

Richardson - 32 goals

Simmonds - 25 goals

Brown - 25 goals

Hyde - 16 goals

Schltz - 15 goals

pretty ambitious considering we've kicked a total off 14 goals in the past 2 weeks

well thats 10 more for pettifer, 13 more for richo, 5 more for simmo, 14 more for brown, 7 more for *smile* and 4 more for hyde.

Looks pretty accurate for 7 games left.

Richo will win for the 11th time (equalling Jack Titus' club record) provided he plays every game. He should good for at least one bag in 3-4 weeks against Carlton & Essendon.

Would this be a record for the lowest "highest" goalkicking total to win. It is disgraceful someone might only kick 35 goals to be the leading goalkicker.

I vote you aren't eligible for the trophy unless you kick at least 40 goals.

Richo - 33 in 2003, 36 in 2002
Rogers - 37 in 2000
Stephen Ryan - 28 in 1990
Hogg - 34 in 1989
Roach - 37 in 1983
Robert Lamb - 38 in 1976
Neil Balme - 34 in 1973, a premiership year!

There are many other older examples. Record low is 14 in 1917 (15 match season, C.Fehring).

Anyone seen Stephen Ryan running around for Rye? He is a gun in the Peninsula league, kicks a bagfull every week. Could have done worse than having him out there today.
