Yeh, I'll have to look that one up. I know that Spider was 210cm. I thought Jay was about 203cm.

Yep, and Esler came out of the 1989 U19s, Clarke out of the 1991 U19s, Burton & Smith were recruited in about 1992/3, and Schaeffer arrived about 1994/5.

My memory fades with age. Not to worry.

Old Annual Reports help in that situation, god knows what people are going to use in 10 years time trying to recall this part of our history, though.

Schaeffer was drafted with Hernaman in 1992. Such great years...... :hihi

Absolutely no loss in Jay Burton, Schaeffer, Smith or Esler (although I did like Ty but he didn't have the mental capacity to cope with AFL footy..would have been a bit like Damien Monkhorst if he did)

We seemed to, then, recruit alot of 19yo ruckmen but never gave them time to develop.

One more fella by the name of Steinfort.  You can't say he never had time to develop, he spent nearly a decade in the reserves.

What a pathetic case of mismanagement.

This was another beauty that stills makes me cringe we sacked Bruce Lennon very very likely type dubbed next Mervyn Keane after 28 games in 2 seasons and re signed Mark McQueen the The incredible Dud.
Lennon went back to Sa to feature as a constant state of origin player, Sturt Band F winner twice as well as nearly taking the Megarey. The boy could play and was a disgrace we cut him when lists went from 45 to 38. No doubt he would have had a good career with the tigers.

getting back to the original topic, it seems that Carlton has not delisted Scott Camporeale. (thanks to the newspapers for picking this up)

Where is his future now? He could still nominate for the draft as his contract will expire, but he won't be able to train with the Bummers.

Or will he stay a blue, thus Carlton keeping all of there players (Big fat red, fevola, lappin and now campo) together for another few seasons, not easing their debt. If they sign campo now, all there grumbles about having no cash has made no changes to their list.

Too right Craigo. I too was a fan of Bruce and thought he was harshly done by. Same too for the late Jamie Tape. Sticky was as gutsy as but his disposal by foot was ordinary hence his departure to Collingwood and then back to SA. The Incredible Bulk Mark McQueen was a fat joke (and an obnoxious bloke to boot). I lost track of how many times he was drafted by us..farcical.

As fas as I know there is another list lodgement between the ND and the PSD so he will probably be delisted then.
