With all these calls that Wallace is selfish for not standing down now can anyone suggest an occasion when a coach has actually quit mid year? or even at the end of a year- discounting to go to another club?

Why would you walk away from a contract that assures you a great payout?
With our situation Wally thinks he can coach just about everyone else thinks he cant.
If I was Wally I wouldnt walk away and give up all that $$$$$$$ who would?
Id wait to be sacked so that assures me of a payout $$$$$$$ after all thats what its all about.

No because it rarely gets to this point.

The only thing that is protecting Wallet being sacked is our desire not to be seen as a club that sacks coaches.

Wallet knows this and that combined with his desire not to walk out on another club he is sitting tight no matter how detrimental it is to those around him.

Both parties are boxed in and the fur is flying.

Only 3 weeks to go..

:rotfl

The club known for firing coaches versus the coach known for walking.

He may be here forever

I fully agree both parties are trapped. If I may say so, given his future earnings potential in the media, the $$ for finishing or not finishing the season are trivial to a man who has been earning for a very long time more money than I personally dream about getting.

The $$, while he won't won't to give them away, are trivial to him by comparison to him achieving a respectable exit from RFC. I reckon if you could convince him that donating his last half-season to charity was the best way of looking good to the wider football community that he would probably do it.

Unfortunately, for Wallace the only way he can go with respect is with some on-field success:
- cue players
- cue post-match emotion and spray
- cue player revolt
- cue media circus
and 2 and 3 ..Craig Cameron you are live on air

So if Wallarse has 3 weeks to, I assume that's what you mean, then how do you predict the club will dispose of him?

Will he walk? Will he be sacked? Will a missing persons report be lodged? Will he be done Columbian style?

Missing person repprt was lodged earlier this week when he didnt turn up at Punt Rd for 2 days. The :police: wont be happy if we lodge another one.
Maybe a reward is a better option?

I know you're joking about it bro, but the head honcho's at Tigerland knew exactly where Wallarse was nestled.

You know when the *smile* hits the fan? This time the *smile* was baked on that hard it took 2 days to scrub it off.

why is there such a stigma about sacking a coach mid-season? if we are only doing this to save our reputation then we are going about it the wrong way. a change of coach can galvanise a team. remember when walls was sacked in 97 after that adelaide massacre? we ended up winning 5 of our last 7 games. when spud the dud stayed on in 2004, we just went through the motions. but in saying that i guess continuing to lose will benefit us more in the long run... but i still think it's the wrong thing to do.
