By my reckoning Chimp would be on 5 Brownlow votes based on the coaches votes - a 3, a 1 and a 1. But the umpires love him, so could be as high as 10 Brownlow votes.

If Judd can get 10 votes in 3 games so can Chimp.

Hard to argue with that.

Surely they didn't have 6 players better than our best. It was really only 15 minutes of footy that they blew us away. Guess it's still only an opinion.

Which player of us worthy of half a vote let alone 2 or 3 votes.
Pettard? Edwards? Deledio? Cotchin? Rance? Knights??

Reckon Conca was our best. Was he worth a vote? I don't know. Do coaches sometimes play ducks and drakes with their voting? I reckon they do and I reckon Hardwick was sending a message he was pretty strong in his presser not looking for positives Frawley style.

It was one of those games you couldn't even say we had anyone worthy to be our best.

Deledio or Reiwoldt in my opinion were arguably better than Lynch, O'Brien or Hudson.

Yes I was. Reiwoldt for example was involved in 6 of our 11 goals. Why would a Hudson who managed just 10 possessions and 20 hitouts and 3 marks and no goals get votes over Reiwoltd, let alone his primary opponent Maric who had 15 possessions, 25 hitouts, 5 marks and a goal? Not sure what the hitouts to advantage were but I can't remember it being that obvious. O'Brien was missing for half a game, sparked it up later in the game which is the part that is remembered most. Probably take back Lynch, he was superb.

Fremantle vs Richmond

9 McPharlin (Frem)
8 Griffin (Frem)
5 Vickery (Rich)
4 Ballantyne (Frem)
2 Martin (Rich)
1 Ellis (Rich)
1 Knights (Rich)

To have a stab-

Coach A Coach B
5 - Griffin 5 - McPharlin
4 - Ballantyne 4 - Griffin
3 - McPharlin 3 - Vickery
2 - Vickery 2 - Martin
1 - Knights 1 - Ellis

You can switch the italicised votes. Coach A's vates are guesstimated to be based on a preference for goal-kickers in a game where they were hard to score. But the 1 votes can be switched.

IMO Griffin was clearly BOG.

Bad stab Dyer, for McPharlin and Griffen at least.
