coaching selection panel

A dozen of us from PRE on the panel will weed out the chaff, no need for trained consultants who know jack sh!t about footy. ;D

Don't even need a dozen. Find the 5 members who have used the word "dud", "deluded" and "feral" the most and you've got your experts.

Nah, have three of them, then with the other three, have the ones that say "close to premiership", "on the right track", and "he will be All Australian".

You gotta have a mix.

Do that and we'll be playing straight into Wallet's hands wrt the powerbases at the club. Best have a unified committee who will all agree that the best way to select the coach is to pick the one who wants to cut the most players from our list. That's the only criteria for success.

At the end of the day people, we just have to cross our fingers, regardless of who we have on the panel whether they select a novice or experienced coach it won't gaurantee a panacea to our poor on-field history...(sigh).

Richmond will embark on the most thorough process in its history to find its next senior coach.

Good article that outlines the entire process.

This is really excellent stuff, if we can't find the best person from that then we never will.

Very impressed with the recruitment plan. Also very impressed with the transparency of the club as far as communicating it to supporters.

Stafford is an interesting choice although I always respected his level of intelligence.

Sure is, looks like they are going all out on this one.

This somewhat reminds me, on a much smaller scale, the RFC's version of a country going out to impress the International Olympic Committee & the world to secure an Olympic Games.

We need to be dressed to impress and I think the club is looking smart this time around.

Brayshaw can suck *smile*!

Lindsay Gaze and then Stafford and Dunne, interesting. They have obviously given it quite a bit of thought.

No one could accuse the club of taking short cuts with it's process, they have obviously being studying the Indian public service for best practice

If we are looking for a coach now, what currently coaching coach would want to put their hat into the ring with the leaks we have? Or has our leak gone... ?!

"along with external consultants Ben Crowe, a Richmond supporter and founding partner of consultancy and communications agency Gemba,"

Good luck... :D

Is the Indian PS known for it's best practice?

Agree BlandVegas24. Comforted by it a bit, actually.

Certainly wont see Barrett praising it anytime soon!

And the footy show last night! OMG. I only saw a small bit but was that scripted as an ad for the NM coaching position or what?!

Laughed when one of the knobs said he wanted Pagen back though.
