I saw the last half of this game and I must say that Coburg's form is a sad reflection of Richmonds poors list.

Dragicevic - Doesn't even look interested.
Pettifer - Still has no heart.
Dunc - did not play that I saw
Pickering - Done a Hamstring.
Hyde - Ok, but nothing special.
Biddiscombe - Dido.
Holland - Presented well but clearly out of touch.
McGrath - reasonable.
Mills - Don't Know, didn't see much of him.
etc, etc, etc.

Only shining light was Kelvin Moore who is growing in confidence every week.

Will Richmond take him on their senior list? I doubt it.

Did you go to the game Damo?
Wondering how Pettifer performed?
Did Dunc have a full game?
Any players looking like they forced their hand for senior selection?

Thanks Cracker, we posted at the same time. ;)
What position did Kayne play and apart from his heart condition did he get his hands on the ball much?

Duncan didn't play, Dutchy was doing a great job
in the back half for the first 2 quarters. Had less
influence when he was up forward in the last 2
quarters. Yes, Kelvin Moore was good too.
I wondered what happended to Pickering.

Dragga must have something wrong with him,
Pettifer was OK (- played in the back half), as was Bidders. Shultz was OK
for parts, but when he was moved on to Mark
Richardson, things became unstuck. Richardson had
a ball - numerous goals. Dutchy had previously been
doing OK on him (I think - we hang around the Coburg
goals - so again - we didn't see a lot of the play >:( it
was up the other end)

McGrath could have had 4 or 5 on the day... missed
two easy shots in the first quarter, and a couple
in the last should have been paid.
One was a touched on the line, but we were right there with a perfect view and the touch was behind the line
by quite a bit - with the second the field ump said that Marty 'threw' the ball between his legs - but it was onto
his boot - the same braindead goal ump thought it came off a Willy player's boot in anycase (wrong).
Umps as inconsistant as ever - paying frees in some
cases - but not in very similar circumstances... >:(

I thought that when a player went off for a blood rule
that the ump was supposed to wait for the interchange
player to get into position. They didn't do this for Coburg, but did for Willy.... I dunno, maybe I'm wrong?

Spargo really gave them a rocket at 3 quarter time..
after a huge blowout in the 3rd quarter...
and I mean - he was really absolutely SPEWing at
them (and the players with few exceptions deserved
every bit of it). I've never seen him as pee-ed off
with them as this. This caused a bit of a final quarter
resurgence, but the damage had already been done.

At least next week is a home game.

Dragga was interviewed pre game on 3LO last night.
He said he's put on 10 kg and finds it pretty hard running witht he extra weight to carry around.
He said it's taken a lot of time to get faith in his knee but he's turned the corner the last few weeks in his opinion.
He said that it was hard when turning etc because in the back of his mind he was thinking of how he did his knees in similar circumstances, but that he doesn't think about it much now.
He said the first time didn't bother him that much, but it's worse after the second one because you realise it can easily happen again.
It must be hard for the poor fella, hope he gets back ok eventually.

There were plenty of feral, no teeth Pie's supporters drinking gallons of *smile* around the boundry.

Big problems at coburg in my opinion.

The players dont seem to be playing with any passion or pride for the jumper.

And of course the Cloke family was there ;) Why did
I mention that in the same breath as 'p15s' ?

We keep well away from the *smile* heads.

Part of Coburg's problems stem from the fact that
Richmond also have problems - there just aren't
the players available to play. Then there's all the
off field rubbish ... but they keep telling us that
it isn't affecting the players.

Your right tho' no passion, no pride. Even the Richmond
players don't do much. DePasquale is one exception to
this. Have to wait and see if Lucky Phil can help
stir them up a bit :)

I was at the game too.

They were apathetic. Couldn't win a one-on-one, wouldn't do the hard things - no confidence. Always running wide forcing short kicks to pockets. Made Heath Scotland look like a champion.

For those who argue that players such as Rogers and Hilton should be dropped to the 2's, you'd be 'cutting your nose off despite your face.' There is no depth.

There was only one positive and that is Kelvin Moore. He has genuine class and footy smarts. A few kilo's more and he could play at either end of the ground - but I think he would make a 'A Kellaway' type of backman (can play tall or small, with good atheleticism). They would be smart to draft him, or someone else will.

Marty McGrath showed promise, considering the delivery and the slowness off the ball being brought forward. He should have kicked straighter, but at least he gave a good contest. I still believe they should give him a run in the 1st's at same stage soon, even if it is only for two rd's spread out over the next 10 weeks. At least the club (and members) would no where he is at. The problem Marty may have, is he maybe one-dimensional like Justin Plapp - butt I hope not.

As for the other senior types who played, I pretty much agree with with baktiger. Unfortunately, I think it is the end for Dragga. Ben Holland needs to get his legs and balance back - my prediction: rd 12 return to seniors.

Can someone please let me know what day Coburg are playing and where on the weekend that Richmond play Carlton (we play Carlton on Sat June 14). I am hoping on the Sunday as me and my mate are keen to watch depending on where it is.

Frankston at Frankston Oval - Sunday 15th June, 2pm.
We play Carlton's VFL affiliate The Northern Bullants
(aka Preston) the following Saturday at Coburg.

Thank you, it is a bit of a trip but i am sure me and Rids can catch a train as long as we give ourselves enough time to get home to catch our flight.

Thank you i appreciate it.

There is VFL draw on the Coburg page of the PuntRoadEnd site too if anyone needs to look it up.
