Coburg: 5-1, 8-4, 13-7, 18-9-117
Springvale: 4-3, 8-9, 13-12, 16-13-109

Goals: Pettifer, Houlihan 5, Taylor, Tremellon 2,
Shir, Mills, Dragga, King 1

After Springvale gained a 23 point lead in the last
quarter, the Burgers fought back to get within range
of a win. Pettifer kicked the goal to put us in front,
and then Kingi goaled from a free+fifty to seal the
match.

I have a feeling Houlihan and Pettifer will play for
Richmond next week. King was in amongst it as well.
Shir played well - just a few clangers, but was good
across the back line. Dragga, Bidders on par with Shir and King.

Talbot, Carlson and DePasquale again strong for
Coburg. Pagan was good as well. Whyman didn't
get as much game time this week.

Time for more beer.

Noooooooo God No. How bout Hyde how'd he go?

Hyde was OK, but not as good as Houlihan and
Pettifer - although you could argue on that point.
Vardy was fairly solid as well. Mills wasn't really up
with the other RFC blokes either. Rogers was good
as well. ... perhaps another recall there.

Just on Pettifer - he actually chased a bit and layed
a few tackles as well... not sure how many, but I saw
at least one! Only had a real sook over one missed
goal - after a sort of speckie. But to balance that up,
he was usually very far away from his man when
required to play defensively.

On todays game no one should get a game in the seniors but I thought Hyde played the better of the Richdud list even if he had a few clangers. But most played better than those who turned up last night,to collect their pay.

... but we know Spud wont give Hyde a game :-\ and the old favourites will be back... I dunno why, if you have
young blokes on your list and nothing to loose, why
not just chuck em in for full games and see what happens? Even if they are probably not up to it. Geez,
they might as well even give Mills a go. Look what
happened to Ben Haynes...

Most of last nights lot should donate their pay to some
kind of charity. Few of them deserve it.

Hyde was alright today, he at least runs the lines, and was one of the main reasons we got back into the game in the last 15 minutes

Pettifer was pretty good, and with us struggling to kick a decent score in the seniors, 5 goals would have to put him in contention.

Houlihan was good, but he is a good player at VFL level, not good enough at AFL, hopefully he plays the season out at Coburg.

Disagree on Rogers Baktiger, thought Milne gave him a bath once he went forward, not sure how many Milne ended up with, must have been 5 or more i think

Milne kicked 5.3 Could easily have been more. That
was all in the second half. ('cept one point in the second
quarter). Before that, I thought Rogers was getting
a bit of the ball. In the second half, I don't think it was
completely Rogers fault (coaching decisions)- but as it's
up the other end of the ground, where I don't see so
well, you're probably quite correct.
