Cogs the forgotten Tiger!!

His contract is due to expire shortly. To my knowledge he hasn't he been offered a new one yet.

Once he has completed his rehab I would hope the club puts him through a rigorous physical before Miller offers him a new one.

Hopefully he comes through with flying colours but harsh as it sounds we simply cannot afford to carry a player on our list for another season if he continues to have injury complications.

He will get a new contract for sure.

i think our midfeild will stand a bit taller with cogs in there playing well. we can expect foley to lift and tuck will be better having cogs in there. itll give our younger lighter players a bit more time to develop too most importantly

The ease at which Coughlan injured his knee both times is concerning. His first injury occured from a twisting motion and the second from a slip in the shower. No forceful collision was required to rupture the knee (ie Thursfields). This would indicate some inherent structual weakness with his knee/s.
The shower thing is a myth, never happend.

So how did he injure it the second time?

Wojak has been very good for the cats coming off TWO recos this year....good thing is cogs has never relied on his pace.

Monica's knees were not consecutive IIRC, t8b. I can't even remember the first one.

And, like everybody I can think of except Richo and Libber, Wojcinski struggled first year back from the knee. This is his second year back, isn't it? And how does his form compare to last year (when he was hopeless)?

The key with Monica is that his pace has returned, maybe a little diminished, but he had some to burn.

Cogs, first year back from consecutive ACLs- anything better than useless is a bonus.

Monica did have 2 knee recos the 1st was just as he was breaking into the team. THe Ox came back a good player after his knee reco's not a great one changed his game from a high flyer to a bullocking style. Cogs has never been a quick player but a good reader of the play & plays aggressive so hopefully he can get back to his B & F form..

Always thought that story was dodgy

I agree that's good news, and Cogs goes in hard, but I hope he works hard on his disposal...it's never been flash, let's face it

I see on the Tigers web site that Cogs is back running & could be training in a few weeks think the media have forgotten all about him how much better will the centre square look with the solid bodies of Cogs Foley & the the pace of Deledio with another pre season into the young guys Conners Polo Edwards etc think we will be a lot more solid next season.

Cogs was a little slow even before he did his knee the first time around. We can't count on cogs to get us out of the wilderness.
