Another stand out performance yesterday for Bendigo with 4 goals. Does this kid ever miss out on the best players? He might be the type we are looking for.

Redford if you read this, do you think that he could develop into a goal kicking midfielder?

i have seen a little of him and he looks a handy type

This kid looks something special, plays in the middle, kiils 'em on the ground and in the air and kick goals, can play forward, back or midfield, I tell you if we trade our first round pick I will be pissed, he is the player in this draft that suits our needs no end, why get a high profile recruit we dont need as much as this kid that will cost us nothing....at the moment, he is the player we need. Get Him!

I saw him play yesterday and he certainly is worthy of the sixth pick in the draft.I thought he may have been a Pettifer clone(breaking into a cold sweat just thinking about it) but after seeing him play that's not certainly the case.I also have seen Brock Mclean play and if we want him we would have to move up in the draft.I don't think he's worthy of No.6 but I'd be surprised if he's available at pick 21.

Colin Sylvia is an excellent u/18 player. He is tough in the contest, can take a strong mark and has very good disposal. He tackles well. In one game for Bendigo this year I think he racked up something like 15 tackles !

My only concern about Sylvia is his pace and ability to cover a lot of ground at a quicker pace than he is at the moment.

At senior AFL level the pace of the game goes up a LOT - a fact that has been the undoing of Pettifer who is as slow as a wet week. Sylvia is not slow, but he'd need to pick up a yard to continue to play the sort of role he's performing at the moment.

I liken Sylvia to a taller, better marking Gary Ablett Jnr.

Forget Richmond getting Sylvia. He will go before pick 6.

As for McLean, he is a good player - not in the league of Sylvia, Cooney etc. - but ok never the less.

There would be more chance of RFC selecting McLean than Sylvia, but even then there are probably better players that Richmond would (should) select before.
