The figures were for the 22 players on the park each week, not the whole list.

The first table was measured from a fixed date, i.e. March 30. If the same 22 played in R22 as in R1, the average would be the same.

The second table was actual age on match day. If the same 22 played in R22 as in R1, the average would increase by about 0.43, i.e. the 5 months from the late March to late August/early September.
