Don't stay there too long, judging by the little I've read they need their mouths washed out with soap.... you don't want to be infected too. ;)

You're not wrong. Typically uneducated Collingwood dimwits. Their best comeback lines are as brilliant as F*** Off and so forth. :rofl

great game today, very happy with the win. after the loss to hawthorn today's win has put us back on track :clap

positives:
- our attack on the footy
- p bowden
- raines must be close to rising star favourite
- the fab 5 from the 2004 draft are coming along beautifully
- johnno and gas playing well
- we got a better run with the umpiring

negatives:
- newmans leg :'(
- we didn't bury them >:(

Raines was fantastic today, especially early when the game was won. Well done Rainsy.

Several hours after a great win I still feel a bit empty. :(

Newmo's injury has really rocked me. I've made it no secret on this forum I'm a huge fan..
Feeling much the same way as when Browny did his but it's slightly different because we've thumped the arch enemy. Just weird it is.

Cogs and Newmo are part of the group which are likely to lead us to genuine success at Tigerland.
To see them both go down with such severe and uncertain injuries is gut wrenching as a Tiger supporter.

Tough game is footy. Get well soon Tigers.

What a great win. It's a while since I've sat in the rain to watch a match. Loved every minute of it except for the injury to poor Newman.

Gee, beating the pies makes for a good week ahead.

The Dees now have to win in September to win respect Interested. I don't mean any disrespect by that, but they have been a very good side for a couple of years now, but just failed to make it count at the business end of the season.

Its like Rocca and Tarrant. They can be april champions all they like, but they have to perform in finals pressure before you can take Collingwoods so called killer forward line seriously.
My point was more that it comes over time, rather than after 3-4 good wins.
I wasn't making any comparisons between two sides who are at very different points.

Richmond have been unable to sustain this type of success for a number of weeks, let alone a number of years, and after big losses this year, people simply aren't going to rate Richmond until they succeed consistently.

No argument from me Interested. Just meant to show that respect is also to some degree based on persceptions of where a side is at at the time as well. But do agree we need to develop more consistency, but that will come with the younger guys gaining more game time and hence experience.

For Melbourne they have to do more because they are perceived to be far more advanced down the road to a Premiership. Not detracting from the Dees but simply expectation are higher on them than us at the moment.

fantastic win by the Tiges. For some unexplicable reason, my two daughters, both under 12 follow Collingwood. After today, I think they were ready to jump ship. They kept asking me what to do they would do with their Collingwood gear after I replaced everything with Richmond. The answer was simple, theirs a nice new shiny rubbish bin out back that needs filling.

Absolutely fantastic effort from the boys today, the first half was the best hard at it effort I've seen since 2001. Shocking luck for Newman...another freakish injury for us which has ended in at least a 12 month layoff...may not see Chris again until 2008 and we will miss him. Real downer on what was an otherwise great day...all we can do is hope the op goes well for him and that he can get back to his best.

Johnson gets my top points today, had a couple of clangers but really stood up in the centre where it counted in the absence of Coughlan and did the tough stuff one on one all day...best game from him in a long time, genuine captain's effort today and he was intrumental in the win.

Brown was fabulous across half forward with plenty of sublime wet weather ball handling and smart delivery...looked to be back near his best form today, though he struggled a little late in the game - mind you he'd well and truly done some major damage by then!

Krakouer enhanced his reputation as a duck...as TW said he now needs to start doing it in the dry consistently, but he was fantastic today both around the ground and in front of goal...very classy.

Raines had a magnificent first half and it was just fantastic to see this young kid running and kicking in straight lines like a seasoned enforcer across half back...really set the tone for the others to follow.

Polo was excellent again...seldom gets beaten one on one, thinks about his delivery, and always puts his head over the ball. I'll say it again, I pity his opponents in years to come if he's winning this much one on one ball at this stage of his career.

Simmonds had the better of Fraser and was very good in the centre...used his body to good effect to create space and his hitouts were good.

Tivendale had a great first half and did a lot of hard work early to help Johnson cover the loss of Coughlan in the guts - these two had to stand up and they certainly did so when it counted today.

Tuck was back near his best in the midfield and even did some top work up forward today...very good game and great to see him moving more freely again after the break.

Pettifer played another excellent game through the corridor with some beautiful delivery into attack, some good lead up work across half forward, and some very nice intelligent interception across the half back line. Worked hard to create a contest where he could and continued his sustained improvement in all elements of his game.

Joel Bowden did everything we could ask on Tarrant and set us up well across half back all day...good game again.

Patrick Bowden gets overly flattered by his stats playing loose man in defense (much as Chaffey did when he played the role), but he has certainly added another dimension to our defensive structure by giving the opposition three designated ball carriers (brother Joel and Raines being the others) to try and keep quiet. Played another very solid game today.

Kellaway maintained his excellent form overall this season with another very good game both in his defensive stopping role and with his link up from defense work.

Schulz did very well up forward and straightened us up a lot compared to recent weeks. Took all the better chances presented to him, worked hard off the ball and at ground level, led well and played his role as the one genuine tall forward to perfection. Top effort from young Jay today.

Tambling had another very solid game and did some very nice work on the skills side of things, but perhaps more impressive was his physicality and willingness to keep working hard off the ball. After being slung to the ground in the first quarter by Rocca in a tackle which must have winded him, he bounced straight back to his feet and knocked the big man flat on his arse in retaliation...perhaps more through sheer surprise than the force of the shove...but it was still very good to get a glimpse of the competitiveness, pride and heart which Richie is beginning to bring to his games despite his still underdeveloped frame.

Hyde did well considering the early incident with his shoulder...another good solid game.

Deledio was solid again showing his usual precise delivery on most occasions and once again demonstrating his nouse at reading the play.

Gaspar did some good defensive work down back, but was caught out both on the lead and for height/strength on occasions against Rocca who could well have ended up with 5 today and many more if he'd had the opportunities he'd usually get and a dry day. Not Gaspar's fault, just that Rocca is a very tough matchup for him physically (and many other defenders).

Foley had some good moments on the ball in our 2nd midfield rotation after copping a knock to the head early, solid performance again.

White and Meyer were quiet with limited game time but showed enough when they were on.

Pattison was also quiet but looked ok given a run in the ruck today - only the one hitout but he was more competitive than he looked earlier in the season...seems to be coming along alright.

Today was the first time all season we've clearly beaten the opposition in the centre of the ground and it really told on the scoreboard with our forward line given every chance, while our defence had every advantage due to pressure on the ball carrier and some solid ground level work which made excellent use of our loose defender system. Make no mistake about it, Collingwood played horribly today - their skills and effort levels were atrocious for a side with their typically soft draw and no injuries to key players. However, we really put our foot on their throat in the first half with our fantastic pressure and fierce tackling, then never looked like letting them back up again...to a fair extent we forced them to play the crap football they did because of our better use of the ball, greater work rate and greater will to win.

63,000 to the game in very ordinary weather conditions was a great credit to our supporters and these type of performances in front of a large audience at our home ground can only consolidate the fact that we are oh so steadily getting back to where we belong in terms of respect and status.

:gotigers

NB: Edited correction - Pattison had six hitouts - I thought he had a few more than one (did as well as Cloke) but mistaked his stats for Deledio's hitout stats! Go Lids! :rofl

Your bloody kidding me arent you....Johnson played Buckley who was their matchwinner out of the game. Shheesshhh, i wont say anymore. It just might get me into trouble cause of absolute ignorance by your comments GPR.... >:( Our captain-yes captain of the RFC played a great game today and you go on with such comments that he made a few errors.... Have a look at the bloody big picture.

Tuby. GPR is right. Johnson had a good defensive game as a tagger, but with ball in hand did make mistakes.

The same kind of mistakes that have half the members of this board demanding Tivendale be traded.

Just because he's captain, doesn't mean he should be excluded from criticism.

Yeah I dropped that coin, can I have it back?

Nope that is my new lucky coin and I am keeping it my pocket for the rest of the year. It's sad isn't it? My superstition I mean.

No its great, especially if it really works. Keep the superstitions coming :hihi :hihi
