What i have done here is combine everything we have discussed in various threads and see what a poll would show.

I have put down 7 suggestions.

It appears that a decision will be made tommorow night and we will now what will happen with Wallace.

I will put down my own opinion , an opinion i have had for many years. I believe it is a combination of many things.

When Wallace first came he made an error initially with the list. It was not as if he didnt have some idea as to which players could cut it. He was in the media for what 2 years before he was appointed. He would have had a fair idea with the players. Did he made mistakes? Yes. Did he give players a chance who let him down? Did his recruiting people also let him down or did he overule them? Unsure.

We had to give a new coach time and stability to build our list and implement a game plan. On both fronts he has failed. Miller is to blame here. Some North people told me that he will ruin your club. He ruined North in the end and almost sent them bankrupt. His chasing of certain players and throwing money at them and flying half way round the world to convince them would have sent the club down the same path. He had too much influence on many aspects of running the club. iT APPPEARED HE HAD MORE POWER THEN THE PRESIDENT.

I believe to sack Wallace would send the wrong message to the playing group. We let them off the hook. Blame in my eyes works both ways. For too long we have sacked coaches and havent gone to the root of the problem in most cases. The players, the culture. The fact that certain players the last 25 years have run the club.

Look to sack him , we would have to pay him out. He is on what $500k a year. We would have to appoint an interim coach and pay that person. We will need those funds to utilise for the new coach and assistants. But to see out the year could be a disaster. It could have an affect on the playing group. morale, affect sponsorship, possibly affect a prospective coach.

I would like the new appointment to be someone who is ruthless and not afraid to cull and utilise the rookie list to the full. This is the last uncompromised draft. What i would like to see is to also appoint say development people (instead of what we have now-1) to a max of 4. One for the backline, one for the midfield, one for the forward line and one for the on ballers. Not coaches as we have now. Development people who sit down and develop specifically our young players who come through the system and play in the Coburg first and reserves.

Wallace, if he survives this week or the next and the board and President come out and state that Wallace is here till the end of the year but his contract will not be renewed then he has to swallow his stubborn pride, stick to a basic game plan utilising our players strengths, play as many kids as we can, dump certain senior players and keep them freedeom to enjoy their football. But if he has lost the players and his game plan style they could go in survival mode and just play for themselves and be shelfish (more than what they have been). PLAY PLAYERS IN THEIR RIGHTFUL POSITIONS.

The culture at the club needs to be changed. This is a must for a new coach next year. All players will be required to know and learn about the club's history and players. Similar to what Sheedy done at Essendon. I would go one step further and invite past players and coaches(succesful) to speak about the club, what it means to put on the famous yellow and black. All this to be done with new draftees and players that remain on the list going forward.

What i would like to see is with training to simulate game day pressure. Whoever cant handle it back to the reserves and if they are continually cronic types that to not play for the club.

With the lsit at seasons end, cull , delist , retire upto 8 -10 players who will not be part of the success at the club going forward, the only exception being Richo and utilise the rookie list to its maximum allowed.

Gee i am going all over the place. Sorry guys.

What started with so much promise before we played Fremantle has completely gone downhill and the season lost. I cant see us making the finals now. Really we would have to win 12 out of the next 18. With what they have dished up (the players and coaching staff), i cant see that happening.

Has Cousin coming unstablised the club. If this is the case well it shows how mentally unstable and weak they are.?

Please poll and lets see what we all think before judgement day for Wallace and the club.

Multiple options please.

I want to pick a couple off of there.

Eg Sack Wallace and Appoint Interim Coach should be 1 option. (If you sack him you have to appoint someone to take over).
Play the kids and see who we have got (should be able to do this with or without keeping wallace).

I voted "Keep Wallcae, change game plan, play more kids" as I can see no good changing coaches now. I also think Wallace is a good tactician and if he can get the players playing for him with the addition of some kids I think we will get back on track. He needs the support of the board to do it though.

I voted Keep Wallace, change plan and play the kids. I believe Terry may have finally realised that his plan ain't working (may be too little too late) so I expect a return to basics, man on man, kick long and quickly to the forward line, get crumbers around the bottom of the packs etc.

The players need to be put on notice that the selfish, survival mode option always brought out when things are a bit tough is finished. Every player must be proactive in the 1%'s, the shepherds, blocks, tackles. The time of "you blokes can do that, I'll do the special stuff" is over. Anyone not putting in is automatically demoted to the Burgers next round no ifs, buts or maybes, there are plenty we can bring up to replace you with. No one handed marks (two hands for beginners), shirking body on body contact, you get tough, you get dirty.

Have to get rid of the selfish culture. "It's not about you anymore, it's about us."

Might be all too late for Wallace but at least the new crew will have a far better idea of who needs to go, who stays and who can be developed with a little more time.

I voted get rid of Walla$e and appoint an interim coach.
If after 4 years your plan is not working (Walla$e) its time to give it away. Lets face it your contract will not be extended why stick around. Oh I get it its just about the $$$$$$$$$$.

Sack him. Eventually he'll be gone anyway so there is no reason keeping him, we are only fooling ourselves by keeping him.

Hire Dermott Brereton as coach.

He knows everything, why we're no good, surely he'd be able to fix it.

:rofl

Go and watch Regional Footy...Much more exciting than this Crap that the AFL serve up every week. ;)
