PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I know it seems like an understatement but this team desperately needs a victory and not just for the 4 points on offer.

I truly believe we should have won that game last night but like many times towards the end of last year let it slip from our grasp when the game was ours for the taking.

We had all the momentum, were murdering the Aints statistically and really should have run over them in the last quarter, but we didn't...

Missed opportunities again cost us dearly. IMO alot of this comes down to our comfort zone.

Sure we had some injuries to players that affected us slightly but there was more to it than that. I'm not going to mention names but there were some relatively simple shots at goal missed at crucial times towards the end of the match and we see this far too often.

Although it was a dramatic improvement on the previous week we still appear mentally fragile and lack the instinct that makes good football sides. We don't yet know how to win!

We desperately need to start tasting the spoils of victory for our hard work because as everyone knows success breeds success. I'm sure Wallace is well aware of this and won't be too full of praise of our performance last night for this very reason.

If we are ever going to genuinely threaten for a premiership then there are players in this team who simply won't be there because they wouldn't know what to do when they got there.

Comfort zone is a massive obsticle for many of our senior players to overcome and it's for this reason that TW will keep turning the list over. Hard decisions will be made at the end of this year no doubt.
