Another small step forward.
Yes he is slow by foot but he is fast by mind and as he plays more time at the level he will develop the tricks that will give him the time he needs.

I agree, he was pretty good tonight and definately showed some good signs that he will become a good player. Never looked to just drop the ball on the boot, always lowered the eyes. Was involved in some quite good handball chains and I thought looked quite good in traffic unlike a lot of the other ones.

Spot on, Juffa.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Thought he was pretty good, he doesn't panic which is a good start snd allows him to find the best option.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

He is a keeper. He isn't responsible for been surrounded by panic merchants.
The kid has class

You definitely said 'dud'. I should know, I was the one drinking.

To be fair, you meant as an inside mid and did credit him with being able to find it on the flank.

I think he's a centreman. (Not an inside mid. That's a ruck-rover.)

I'd had my share, spook.

Any way you look at he's gotta play.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

stood out the other night, thought he was good

Found time in traffic tonight, looked beyond what was in front of him to release.

Must keep playing him.
Yeah, he is a real bright spot in an otherwise dodgy start to the season.

I've been saying for a while now, getting more pill is the missing piece to the puzzle.

Big step forward on the weekend with 19 touches. I love how calm in traffic he is. Fantastic user.

I felt he was better than Duggan this week, which is a great sign. I really rated both in the u/18s.

Signs are good.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Hey, you said on Saturday that he was hopeless overhead.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Gradual steps. He's doing fine. I'm glad he's not going in head first kamikaze style like some here are wanting. He's slowly assessing AFL footy and getting used to things. All he needs are zippier players around him to get the best out of his great hands and nous. Playmaker.

Ha! Liar!

Wha? H8trs gonna h8t.

BTW I thought Corey showed real fight at times on Friday. Not always but at crucial times. I think he may have noticed the way Connor goes about it.
